Have a bfs 210h, hit a rock and actually bent a blade tooth but didn’t break it so belts started squealing immediately as the bent tooth wouldn’t allow the blade to pass through the rock guard. Didn’t really know how to pull the blade out but did have a complete spare blade assembly. Already pulled all the guides and spacer plates but easy enough to bolt them back on. Thanks for showing the blade slides out from the back. I’ll see if I can figure how to pull the pins with the marginal clearance they give you at the Pittman arms. Thanks again for the insight!

I bought this mower last year and just love it. Ordered it from a Case dealer. It is rebranded as a Farm King (but is still made by Enorossi). I mow 25 acres of hay with it and clip 25 acres of pasture . It makes a very clean cut and NEVER plugs like the old style sickle mowers did. A much improved design. My fields are located in Indiana.

So glad I found this. Just purchased new cutting bars for my 7ft Superior sickle bar mower. Can't wait to start mowing hay again this year.

We were told to try using the serrated top and bottom edge blade well we'll never go back to the smooth blades. Another thing I noticed everybody on here changes the guards and cutters out but nobody is adjusting the hold down clips. They have to be adjusted because the new parts are not worn so when you adjust the big nut with a set screw in middle on the hold down clamps there's Less noise not banging or prematurely wearing everything out. It changes the clamp angle so when you tighten it down it's not pinching to tight

    Great video; thank you.
I’ve been trying to figure out where the (limiting) chain gets connected to the tractor. I think it connects to the toplink mount on the tractor. You appear to have it connected to the top mount on the cutter (where the toplink connects to the mower). Is there a reason why you’re not connecting it to the tractor? What is the purpose of this chain? Thank you.

I’ve watched your videos several times and enjoy them. A question for you though… Where do you get parts for this more I have one, and need to replace one section, and also need the small rivets and the big rivets. Lots of companies on the Internet say they have parts for this more, but never produce them and leave me hanging!! Some help here would really be appreciated. Thank you

Used a sickle mower for years ! Issue is..... you can only do so much to sharpen a sickle ! Because........ the bottom of the sickle is also worn...along with the top of the sickle guards. There can be as much as 1/16 inch between the edge of the sickle laying flat on the sickle guard. Not easy to cut with this situation ! Also.........most times the back of the sickle bar........and guard wear at an angle...causing the sickle to ride up which causes even more space between the sickle and guard. Most times it best off replacing everything new at the beginning of the year ! Add into the mix...golfer mounds and sandy soils....... often the sickle wont even last a year. All depends on the acres its uses on. Might get 200 acres out of a sickle.

Well if I OWNED and used a sickle bar mower. After a thorough cleaning. I would spray a graphic coating on the back edge of the cutter bar and the inside of the cutter guard. It would reduce wear, material build up and ease install effort. Oh yes coat the pivot bushings as well.

That video was confusing enough that anyone wanting to know the right technique should seek some better advice elsewhere.
