I’m curious. since Frank is a big drawer of the ball, why not GT2 18* set to C1 (flat, and 17.25 loft). 16.5 set to C4 (flat and 17.25) closes the face and adds bounce to the sole. 18 set flat and lower opens the face (preventing hooks) and lessens the bounce so he has the ability to be steeper. AND it’s a smaller head which looks more like his hybrid which he said he has a lot of confidence in.
Maybe he draws with club path. Flattening prob only works to a certain point. It’ll mess with turf interaction so flat, when hitting off the deck, isn’t always the solution.
Head size too, 16.5 is 170 cc and the 18 is 150cc. Bounce is pretty irrelevant with adding or subtracting loft on a wood because of the sole width. Especially when it's through a loft sleeve.
@@Fze5656 I get ur point but why not try it…I’ve been a fitter a club sales guy for a couple years, seen plenty of videos online…I don’t see a lot of fitters experimenting with different options sometimes. Sure maybe it wouldn’t work…but it’s definitely an anti left setup, so why not try it.
The one thing that frustrates the life out of me in these rubbish fitting videos and nobody EVER talks about swing weight. The 3 head vs the 2 head is different weight. Therefor different swing weight. Some with shaft weights etc same with shorter vs longer shaft. Swing weight is literally number one but nobody talks about it. It’s stupid. If you’re a fitter and you don’t work with swing weight, you’re rubbish at your job. It’s that simple.
@@Golficitystill an amateur. Any fitter worth any weight whatsoever, they will talk about swing weight. No mention of it. He’s changing heads he’s changing shaft weights, all of which are changing swing weights. But just because the swing weight of a certain head and shaft weight lines up okay it doesn’t mean it’s best for you. It just means they found your swing weight. Then you need to find what shaft and head works with the exact same swing weight. This fitting, tbh, was amateur.
Andy is a star. I didn’t recognize him from the thumbnail. I’m so glad it’s him. It’s why I watch - detailed and personable
I can’t wait for my fitting with Andy!!!! Once again thank you guys for finding out all great courses, fitters, and trainers for golf ⛳️
🙌🏼
Great video! Videos like this convinced me to go get fit and it was really productive.
Love hearing that. So true!
Great video guys. Going for my own GT fairway fitting in about a month so this is the inspiration I needed
🙌🏼👊🏼
I love your fittings
Thank you!
Great video. Where did you get fitted. This fitter is awesome and never had a custom fitting before.
This was at Hudson National in NY. Towards ends of video Andy tells Mike where you can get fit by him.
Frank - w/ shorter 3W shaft… did he add head-weight for the inch shorter down from standard to get appropriate swing weight?
Swing weight is king. But nobody talks about it. It’s ridiculous. Too busy selling to focus on actually getting someone what’s best
