Hey there Brian! Very nice presentation of "Recent Reord Purchases!" Like you, I am a real sucker for "Sad Bastard Music!" 😢hA hA You always have the most interesting music! I REALLY liked you small sample of Alan Doyle, and WOW you get to see them on February 20 or so! I'm sure that you will enjoy the show!!! I REALLY like The Devil Makes Three, guess the red variant is no longer available, I cannot find it on their website, ebay or anyehere else, either (NOT the colored vinyl, anyway). Great to see you and you always do such a great job! Thanks Brian!! 👍
I can’t believe that Red pressing is already sold out. That’s crazy. I literally bought it like two weeks ago. And I may be the saddest bastard in the VC right now. Ughhh…. At least I have my records. Thanks for your support Thomas. It’s always great to hear from you. Cheers☘️
Hey Brian. So glad I watched this. That Dawes album is up there in my favs of all time. I do have an original but didnt now about that anniversary reissues so of course I jumped all over it. Thanks man.
Really enjoyed this video; you do such a good (and fun) job explaining albums and artists and makes me wanna listen to you and then check the music out. I will definitely check out Back to the Harbour; really liking what I can hear of it! Xo Ambie in the Mitten
Good to see you, Brian. You’ve been busy! I’ve been busy to start the year as well. Haha! Glad to see you’ve been into that Waxahatchee album. It’s never too late to get into a record that wonderful. Rabbit Fur Coat is a must have on vinyl for Jenny Lewis fans. I have the red press from 2009, and I’m a moderate fan. 😄 I was really into Travis as those albums came out, but they haven’t stuck with me. I still have the first two CDs somewhere I believe. Yeah, Craft does a great job. Looking forward to seeing what else you have in that healthy stack, brother. Cheers! ✌🏻
Love Alan Doyle and Great Big Sea! I don’t have anything on vinyl but hope to change that when I’m back home in Nova Scotia next. The poster on the wall caught my eye in a previous video. New subscribers and have been checking out some of your old videos. Your video on ‘blue eye soul’ inspired me to pick a few thing up - cheers for that. I’ll show em in a video soon. Thanks for the videos!
Glad to meet another Great Big Sea fan. You have no idea how much that band means to me. I’m glad you liked the blue eyed soul video. Thanks for checking out some older videos. That means a ton! Cheers☘️
@@ShamrocknRecords whenever I get a little home sick or I want show people how we like to party out east, I reach for Great Big Sea :) Thanks for your channel.
Really glad you're digging that Dan Penn record. It's a keeper. I need that Rabbit Fur Coat. What a fantastic LP. I love Pleased Yo Meet Me. It's my favorite Replacement album. Great pick ups! TB
Maybe I'm crazy but I look forward to your recent finds. Along with a bunch of VC members. And I'm glad I tuned in. Great video my friend. The only autographs I like are the ones that come from the artist themselves. One of my favorite autos is the whole Megadeth band on a record cover.
Yes, I agree. My favorite autographs are the ones I get myself as well but I really wanted one from my fav artist and I knew for damn sure I’ll never meet Van. Thank you so much for watching and leaving a comment. Cheers☘️
Great video from one father of a daughter to another! BTW bought my second LP of my life when I was 14 years old and living in Scarborough Maine! Nothing in Scarborough so had someone drive me to Portland and bought Gino Vannelli Storm at Sunup! Blew my mind and have been a serious fan of his for 46 years! Check out the musicianship and all of his A&M records were mastered by Bernie Grundman! As far as blue eyed should check out my go to for 44 years and that is Bobby Caldwell!
@@ShamrocknRecords Im in Miami now! Ive had a problem collecting LPs for years since Ive been so mobile since my career has been a fashion photographer. But I'm making up for lost time lately since Ive recently retired!😁
Oh and about autographs I had Bobby Caldwell sign my Fender Jazz bass as well as another pick guard he wrote out "What You Wont Do For Love, Bobby Caldwell" and took a photo of him while he was doing it! Too cool right!
Didn’t realize that Dan Penn co-wrote Dark End Of The Street and Do Right Woman. Sounds interesting for sure. I’ve also have to check out that Wacahatche.
I checked out some of the Waxahatchee album. She has a nice voice. It kind of reminded me of Alanis Morissette. But just a little. Nothing like a classic VC vinyl update. You nailed it once again B. Really enjoyable~ Rob/Boston
Thanks Rob. That Waxahatchee album has taken me by storm. I’m absolutely addicted to it. I love when I find an album that does that to me. Hope all is well☘️
Yo B, I finally made it to your page, as I make my way in trying to catch up watching everyones vids over the past couple of months. Alan Doyle is soooo good. I have one album (Boy On Bridge). oooooh, you said the "F" word. Blue-eyed Soul; I think, can be just as reputable as bonafide Soul music.... never heard Dan Penn. Waxahatchee is dope; don't have that one though. I am a huge Dawes fan. "All Your Favorite Bands" is my favorite album of theirs. I like the quirkiness of Regina Spektor. Cheers bro! - TONE
I haven't gone to a concert since the pandemic but I'm feeling like diving back in. I hope you enjoy your concert. I bought the last Van Morrison off his website and paid for an autograph. Some people said they were electronically signed but I don't know. I really like that Dan Penn album; he was such a great songwriter. The Devil Makes Three is another band that I enjoy. I have been meaning to check out. When I first heard Dawes, I thought I was listening to a new Jackson Browne song as it was the song "A Little Bit Of Everything." I have been meaning to check out Waxahachie. Happy listening.
You said it. Craft Recordings have been releasing some quality reissues. I just {finally} got a copy of Paul Weller's 2002 release 'Illumination'. It sounds so so good. What I also dig about their pressings is they did an exact replica of the original including all inserts, sleeves, etc.. They even rounded the corners on the jacket~
Wow! You're the only person other than myself who's mentioned Devil Makes Three! Any guy who loves that and Van is a friend of mine. Old Number 7 is a killer track!
I did hear about the Travis reissue decided not to buy it, i stick with my cd. Never was a fan of their's, but was interesting enough to investigate. I do like the album, but never really felt the need go any further. They're odd those things, like, but don't follow any further. Wonder why that is? Pasi

A stack of depression turned into smiles....always a great remedy to buy a record and feel better. keep it going!!! liked the Travis, nice.!!
Nothing better to put a smile on my face then to go out digging and chill out and spin some records. Thanks Steve!

If you haven't got already you need to find Dan Penn and Spooner Oldham Moments from the Theatre a Live album just brilliant
I saw that as I first streamed him. It looked interesting but I haven’t heard it yet. I’ll check it out for sure. Thanks for letting me know.

I'll second that. That record is pure gold....
