Pearce and the real Raft sound amazing here!....saw pearcy months ago and sounded even better. I don't want Bobby and his cover band with a singer told to imitate Stephen. This is Raft. All original except for the late great Robin Crosby. Why not enjoy our surviving legends before the next one we lose. What joy do you get going online ripping these rock legends?? Does it make you feel important, hip? Really you want guys like Axl, Roth, Rob Halford, ozzy, Paul Stanley, Pearcy, Vince Neil all to be replaced by guys younger and covering.them? It's crazy that you don't find enjoyment from the real thing. As someone who was at their shows in the past I can tell you your memory confuses how they sounded back then. Most sounded very much like they do now with some exceptions but they have on and off shows. You don't get a prize for being a hater and voice critic. We live in our pitch perfect reality show contests like American Idol and The Voice and we see voices ripped and over analysed. Rock n roll is not science, it is not pitch perfect. It is raw and unpredictable. The show and the escape is what matters. I will be at all the legends shows while I still can.

That's kinda sad to watch. The backings are more on spot than Stephens vocals. The thing is that he still is a great performer though. Seeing Juan rocking away is just a pure joy :)
Steven's voice is not his "usual" today,sounds off but I have seen and heard worse. He does make a presence on stage. It helps that the rest of the band is,",spot on"!!! They sound fantastic and cover nicely for Steven who is not having one of his better days!!! Warren looks and plays "hot" in this segment!!!🤩😜🤗
Unfortunately Warren and the rest of the band were always limited by Pearcy's vocal range. Imagine the band with a vocalist like Ray Gillen or David Lee Roth and I believe they truly would have been able to compete on the same level as Van Halen, Badlands, or even Dokken.
@@kevinneace9008 There is no guarantee the band would have been more successful with a better singer. The reason Ratt music worked is because of Pearcy's voice. It was different and sounded cool in studio. Not to mention he wrote most of the songs. So take him out, put some other singer in, and you wouldn't even have the same classic songs. Even if a better singer sang the same classics, I still think it wouldn't be as cool as with Pearcy. Pearcy is just Ratt, through and through.

The way he sang was his own style, and it worked in studio. He was able to pull it off live in the early days, but as he got older, and the coke and smoke piled up. It just didn't help. Regardless, I always felt you can't compare Pearcy to other singers, you can only compare Pearcy to Pearcy. Yes young is better than old, but this is old Pearcy at his best, and as a Ratt fan, you just have to accept it and not look at is as "this sucks" which far to many people do. But rather, he's still around and healthy enough to rock, so lets appreciate that. We don't HAVE to be critics. Even knowing it's not great, it can still be enjoyable with right mindset.
I liked Warren's playing better on the Out Of The Cellar tour. He stopped doing all the cool hammer on pull off stuff after that and it really hurt his style. But, I'm glad he never went down the Yngwie sweep picking road like too many others. That would have hurt his style even more. The hammer on pull off stuff like on Eddie Van Halen's "Ice Cream Man" solo was what suit Warren's style best and made him really interesting. He added an edge to it. He lost it. Too bad.

Too bad they couldn't keep this going. He's a great frontman. You can knock hitting the notes (or not) but all he needs is some decent backing vocals in there. In rehearsal they should know whether he can hit the notes. If not, find a solutions. Still, the drums and guitar and just "in there". Pretty phenomenal.

You should know, as the sound tech, that the guy has problems. Why clean tone, dry vocals without so much as a reverb on his voice. The mixer let Stephen down. This recording might actually be a monitor mix.

I have been all over the country and different parts of the world and sing better now than ever because I had respect for my art and my voice and would be completely embarrassed to put this out to the people who supported me for 30 years. You owe your fans more than you just showing up to make a paycheck because you find yourself at 60yrs old, blown through all your money on booze and drugs, can’t sing a lick and don’t know how to do anything else . Pathetic and anyone that tries to defend this joke has no idea what they speak of
