This masterclass was organized by Center for Complementary and Integrative Health, Savitribai Phule Pune University in association with Vigyan Bharati at Amphitheater of Fergusson College, Pune.

Prof. B.M.Hegde has studied the medical care system since more than 6 decades. He always spoke the truth, but faced lot of opposition, but he went on and on and on, always concentrating on truth. He never went after money. His concentration was on understanding how to treat patients and the falsehood of today's diagnosing and treatment. He has done a sadhana. He is imparting that knowledge and information to us. Prof. B.M.Hegde is not only the name of a person, but also the name of a REVOLUTION. We are very fortunate to see his videos. He has also written books. We can benefit largely by him and his videos.

My grandfather who lived in rural areas never went to the doctor in his life. He was a farmer. Whenever he had fever he went to the riverside took his bath in the cold river water n he was fine the next day. He died at the age of 80. The doctor earned money from him only after his death to provide the death certificate. Salute to my grandpa.

Sir, you are a real man of knowledge. I am exactly in the same thought process as you, people around me always stair at me. Are you a Doctor (now real Doctor doesn't exist who think to helps us to heal the real health issue rather write 100 tests, and scare and kills our mental strength and play with our emotions when our kids face any health issues, without reason they suggest ICU directly with no reasons)

Dr. was very right.... For 40 years of my career I have never gone & claimed my medical check up charges except the dentist but when all coxed me in the last year of my service, to get the check-up done. So when I got the check-up done, I was surprised to hear that I got BP/Sugar/heart ailment.... My God.... I am still in shock... Now I am listening to stalwarts like Sadguru of Isha Foundation & Dr. Hegde...... So now I know where "my health" lies...... God help me & all to keep the good health ......👍

What a fascinating speech by Dr. Hegde. I have watched most of his videos; and even if I am not from medical field, easily follow what he says about modern medical science. It's a high time we should fall back on ancient or classic way of treatment. The aim should to have a holistic approach towards treating the ill-person than his illness.

Dr. Hegde has many valid points, great narration that shows his amble experience. True that modern medical system is not enough at times very dangerous. Yes it has shortcomings and have economic control by pharma industry. One should definitely ask questions about how the medicine works what is the science behind it. However attributing everything to placebo effect and rejecting the science as reductionism is an extreme ideological danger.
Let us look at some basic facts: What is the global life expectancy 200 years ago or pre- allopathy era Vs now with all the agreed shortcomings of modern health care systems. UN estimates 72.2 years for global life expectancy in 2019 whereas this was 30-40 years in 1800s. While we can’t credit all of this to modern medicine it is definitely a factor.
He progressively attacks and destroys modern medical science using science itself, I respect that and agree to lots of it but on what basis he is trying establish the alternate. While love, compassion, positive thinking, yoga are essential for good health what is the practical solution to millions of ailing masses.
What we need is refinement, checks and balances, quality audits of research and more white papers and mass education about medical systems instead of capitalizing on the shortcomings and sentiments of dejected masses of existing system and injecting a religious, nationalist superiority, political agenda

Great sir, makes sense what you say and I also apply the same principles in my life. But, it’s a humble request to treat Advita philosophy as a gift this great nation has to offer the world and not tie it to individuals (NRI or something of that nature you spoke about for not having the insight to look into it) .
