I’ve been obsessed with watching these room cleaning/depression pit cleaning videos because it makes me feel normal. I can’t be the only one.

As an update things have been up and down but I have been managing my depression pretty well. I’ve been able to maintain a balance cleaning schedule and it makes me feel great!

Same. Everyone makes me feel like their houses are always spotless and they spend hours a day cleaning. I'm disabled and we have a big family. Nothing stays clean and clutter builds up seemingly overnight. Stuff isn't dirty, it's just on the floor rather than in the drawers lol. I'm particular about dirt so the animals litter etc, kitchen, beds, surfaces and toilets are always kept clean. I figure in my head somewhere that if they're clean, the rest is OK because it's just stuff.
@@Mandaxx25 I do spend hours a day cleaning. I see these videos and say "how the hell can it get that bad?" but it's just a difference in personality, mental health, etc.
This isn't depression it's being dirty.

I love how realistic this was especially for us ladies we tear up are room looking for a specific outfit or make up we misplaced or just little things lol. I love this .

Swapping the location of the bed and dresser, and moving the desk to the wall across from the door would completely transform your space. As others have suggested I'd move the curtain rod higher and choose a new, black one (but ensure the texture is not heavy). The rug could stay where it is or be moved to underneath the bed again. Maybe give it a go! If you don't like it you can always put the pieces back as they are.
i HIGHLY suggest moving your furniture for a mood change. i basically flipped my whole room around and somehow it helped my mood

I want to say it's so brave of you to post videos like this! I have depression, anxiety, and ADHD, and my room is a DISASTER! I really appreciate you for not only given a guided cleaning session, but for showing your room at its initial state. So many cleaning videos show a tiny mess and a bit of clutter and say "oh my God this is Sooooo bad guys don't judge me!" And then I look around my room that's 100x worse and feel even worse about myself, which makes me even less motivated to do anything. So thank you for being real with this! It means so much!

To clean mirrors without streaks easily:
1) Wipe down with Windex like normal
2) Buff out with a dry towel as it’s almost dry, and continue until there’s no streaks! (Takes about 20 secs)
I’ve been doing it for years under professional lights and it works great! :)
in my country and especially in my household we usually use newspapers with any cleaning solution and it actually works (singapore)

The trick we use at my job is a window cleaner and.... Coffee filters!
I'm going on vacation next week too and my room is a disaster. I want to clean it and come back home to a clean space. I've been dealing with depression, and I'm seeing how deeply it's affecting my life. Thanks for making this video 💜
Same! Not tge going on vacation part cause I don't leave the house lol but when I do travel or sleepover somewhere else it's so nice and relaxing to come home to a clean space as getting home and traveling and not to mention unpacking is tiring and stress! Have a fun vacation!

@@hazelrose827 Because people online act like theyre so perfect and comment on how they dont do this so it makes you feel alone, like somethings wrong with you. And lots of others never posted it online before like this, so yeah we feel alonel ol
To give your room a little more inviting feel but still clean/fresh look, try using furniture and accent pieces with round edges, softer lighting options, fabrics with different textures, a plant or two, and a few items with pale neutral colors. Natural wood pieces also work great.
I am a very busy person and I struggle with a lot of anxiety, this makes me feel better seeing someone with a realistic looking room cleaning, because sometimes for weeks I just feel so stressed and exhausted that I can’t clean, I’m finally deep cleaning my room now

Would you ever rearrange your room? I'm someone who rearranges all the time don't ask me why lol. Also your idea with the black curtain rods would be amazing I want to suggest also to hang your curtains higher and finding different type of curtain to add a little more texture to your room
I do this too! 🙏🏽 At least once every two weeks my furniture will be in a completely different spot 😭 it’s so therapeutic and I never hear of others like us hahahah

I think thicker curtains in white would look better,maybe patterned with silver/other light color. Black would take away from the serene n open look you have going on in ur room.

I go through a purge and rearranging phase once every 2 weeks (after I finish cleaning my room) where I start purging/rearranging stuff then lose motivation for it for like 3 months. I always watch this stuff to motivate me to finish what I’ve started

Wow this video was great to watch! I love the realness, thanks for cleaning an actual messy room. Most clean my room with me videos are usually just unorganized, quick put away mess. This makes me really want to clean my room as well which I've been struggling to clean for a while now due to depression. Thank you for showing a room that's not already perfect because all these ones out there are usually perfectly clean and tidy rooms with like one shirt on the bed and the bed not made and that's what they call "messy" my husband and I's room is like a bloody tornado went through it then some raiders came and rifled through what was left over.

Black curtain rod, place nearer ceiling to add height and wider to cover heater. Also suggest layering curtains, mesh for day and heavier for night. Blinds aren't great.

THANK YOU, for actually showing a realistically messy room. I'm trying to clean mine but I get so overwhelmed with my adhd, ocd and anxiety. I also have depression so it's hard to stay motivated. I cleaned a bit today and tossed 4 garbage bags of stuff but its gonna take me a few days to fully finish. My problem is after the first day I often feel overwhelmed and just stop there. I tried to find some deep cleaning videos for motivation and advice but got so many "messy" rooms that were just some clothes on the floor and a bed that needed to be made. It helped to see you stop and actually wash things. When you didn't clean the makeup brushes because it would stop your cleaning rhythm, I could give myself permission to stop obsessing over the smaller details that are gonna derail me. Anyway this helped a lot more than you will probably realize.❤ Thanks again.

A tip I have is to put the clothes in sections on the bed a pile for shirts of all kinda anything that's a top, a pile for bottoms of all kinds and one for bras socks undies and one for towels and linens then take it one pile at a time
Try Spray Way glass cleaner. It’s a foam glass cleaner (comes in a spray can) and it doesn’t streak. I love it.

A thicker rod with about 4 more inches of length with some bolder end pieces. Also adding an extra panel or two to give some thickness to fill the curtains out would help.

Just a tip if u dnt wanna step over the wet spots start mopping from your window then work towards your door that way u step out of the room let it dry then mop again!!
what i like to do to help me clean is put every thing in a bucket to clear the floor then organize the stuff in the bucket in to piles and put each pile where it goes
This is more realistic than other tutorials
