Butcher is one of those guys that I enjoy hearing from or about in any shape or form, all the time. Futurama's technology to keep human heads alive forever needs to become reality, if only for Jim!
@@BenDover-vg9ep yes the second book, according to Jim himself is nearly finished. He had to take a break from writing, because he didn't have a house for a few years I believe. That's why there was a hiatus with the Dresden Files books as well. I believe from what I've read, he is planning on writing one of the following books in the Cinder Spires series, between writing new Dresden Files books. This is what I've been able to piece together from things Jim has said in recent interviews, over the last few years.
I'm reading this now, like it so far but I'm having trouble picturing the world a bit. It would be cool to see some fan art of the what the spires look like. Love all of Jim Butcher's books!
for some reason I am having issues with that as well, which for the dresden files was never an issue. oh well I'm sure it's been brought to his attention & will be fixed for the rest of the series!
I read "The Aeronaut's Windlass" twice in three days, and I really care about these character. It's written in thied person perspective, so you won't get quite the same thing as you will get out of the Dresden files. But....I am really looking forward to more of this series. Will probably make the last 4, 5, or 6 Dresden books longer to come out, but the change of pace for Jim, I think, will make the last Dresden novels better. That's my take, and I can't wait for anything Jim writes. Edit: One thing I forgot, this book has a feel like Quentin Tarantino movie: some things happen, lots of good things happen, someone dies, and things get real.
I wish I could read books as fast as that shit.. yea I too am a dresden addict I feel the last few will be the best. I like this new book however I look forward to reading the series
Sir I take exception to you calling Captain Grim a Pirate. He is a PRIVATEER. There is a difference. You are lucky he didn't hear you Mr. Butcher he might have demanded satisfaction!
Loved the book! Now I'm starting The Dresden Files. Plus I really want him to write a historical fiction of the Roman empire. Since he's a buff of that time in history!
I have to say that whenever I read a scene with the villainess, I pictured Missy from Doctor Who. I'm pretty sure he wrote the book before those episodes aired, but those characters are similar superficially anyway. and they both like it when people are polite. heh. I love the new series.

I love it that Jim Butcher uses his role playing games to help write his books. Makes me wish I was sitting at one of his tables as a Game Master.
+E7018LowHydrogen I agree. Good GM's are worth more than gold.
"He's not so much her cat as she's his human." So it's pretty much exactly like real life.
Such a good book! Can't wait for the second one.
is that shit ever coming out

+Joe H. I hope so. I started to get a better picture of the world by the end of the book at least.
Every time I see Jim reference Pathfinder I smile
God I need Peace Talks even more!!! The Aeronaut's Windlass sounds pretty good too.
As a dresden files addict, I can highly recommend this book. Great humour
Did you finally read PT?

Have you tried Codex Alera?
Holy Crap! I think he was the tech support guy for Earthlink I used to have to bug whenever the nameserver in OKC died.
I was hoping there would be a second book.
I did a book review on my channel on the Aeronoaut's Windlass. Loved every word of that book!

I love Jim...but whoever the girl with the Mohawk is, I love you more. 💛
19:40 moments before disaster.
At first I thought she said "...welcome to toxic Google..."
Sounds interesting!
Loved the book... would never call it Steampunk.
black company by jim butcher….
why would this not happen???
Shannon got half the rights to the Dresden files in the divorce unfortunately.
So you just go around every Jim Butcher video to talk about that? How pathetic are you?
What a bitch.
Didn't she get half the rights to Codex Alera as well?
