20 lb is the lightest i fish with unless im going for calico bass then i might go 15# .For yellows and deep sea rock cod i use 65# braid on 40 to 50 # mono , but if the yellow tail are acting shady that day I'll switch out to 20 to 25# mono top shot and flyline a strong fat sardine.

I think you can buy it on turner’s or eBay. But check some west coast jiggers too. They are hot jigs for almost two years.
Not a fan of Lexa My Penn Torque 12 SD whoops it. Also 25N is great for iron and 30-40. I don't like levelwinds. More things to break and maintain.

The only downside is when bit on the light line you fight the fish for an hour or more and tie up the boat and go over under many many times. All while the school is gone and we wait for the light line person. I only fish 20 if the captain gives permission. I've had captains come down and cut the line after an hour on guys with light line since it hurts everyone else's chances to catch fish. Again, if it's a pick bite and captain gives permission go for it. Good video and good info.
Yes you have point bro. So far it’s still works on me. I just give more tips to the crews 😆 it help, really works. Tip for today: give tips to the crews before fishing start. They not gonna forget you and guarantee help you all the way to the end of the trip.

I’m using phenix black diamond rod 8-9 feet , 20 to 50 lbs , 15 to 40lbs. About the blue thing in my rod i just add that one it was a sleeve from amazon or eBay.
The real color of phenix is black.

I have all kinds of different reels rods combo etc…. But he’s right on that lexa. My favorite. I have it on Phenix M1 9ft heavy. 50lb braid , but I change out the top shot. Easy to cast live bait over everyone.
Yes master before I’m always going on heavy but since I tried Lexa I saw a big difference. Over all Lexa is my favorite set up 👍 now.

Do you guys really find you cast these conventional/bait casting reels/rods farther than a spinning reel/rod setup? These rods seem very stiff and don't appear to load as well compared to spinning rods of similar sizes.
You can’t beat spinning reels for that. But this set you cast far enough to catch those fish. Spinning is a winner 🏆
Fishing spinning tackle can be rough if you get into 30 lb plus fish. You can't use the rail, with practice you can just as good with a conventional rig. Many tricks.
