Powerful version. From one who lives overseas, I truly love this song, and have heard it sang many times from a very young age. For me I cannot think of a better delivery (MOM's recitation of it in 100 Great Irish Poems by 100 Great Irish Voices, I also love, and it's deep). A song I always associated with the male voice (The Bould Thady as well) I now associate differently. And it's hard to change an old man set in his ways. I know many great voices are out there, but when you associate certain songs in certain ways, it can be damn difficult to change track (pun intended). I can only recall Emmy-Lou Harris ever doing that previously. Please keep it going, Annmarie!
A great Kerry song by Sigerson, sung with feeling by wonderful songer. One of my favourite Irish about a place I visited, when I walked the beatiful Ring Of Kerry in just over 22 hours.
