After watching 12 minutes if you aren’t ready to suit up for this game you don’t understand the rivalry. Very well done!!! Well planned release date, too. Go Cats Go!
I’ve rewatched this video a hundred times now. I remember when the game was televised. We had it on, and at halftime had started working on other things with the game as mere background noise. Then, the comeback. I stood in my living room as the miracle happened; and remember having the cops called on us for a noise violation. As a Bobcat, you couldn’t ask for a better ending to such a memorable game. As a Montanan, you couldn’t ask for a documentary that embodies what your state represents any better than this. Always proud to be a Cat, and will forever remember where I was when the Miracle in Missoula happened.
wow as a chicago guy that isnt huge into college sports as much as the pros this got me so jacked that now montana state will probably be my new team to root for in college... almost makes me wanna move to montana and be part of that culture. also a great job on making this documentary, really well shot, great pace and feel, and really makes you feel your there thru the whole thing... i only happened to see this because the chicago bears signed callahan o'reilly as ufa and i was in disbelief at how good he looked and not to be drafted and now im even more pumped to have him... well done all around, and go bears, go callahan o'reilly, and GO CATS!!!
Being a Griz fan the loss is tough to watch. However, this documentary beautifully represents the greatness of the rivalry and how important it is to the entire state of Montana. Great Job. Go Griz
my son played in 2 of these rivalry games & was hurt during his last attempt & cut from the lineup even though he fully recovered for the next season. So u can understand my feelings when I say there will always be hostility towards the university.
I've loved the Bobcats my whole life, and knew I would one day graduate from there. Watching this documentary makes me proud and grateful to be able to call myself a Bobcat. GO CATS!
Griz fan here. This game was sole crushing. Everybody ready for College GameDay tomorrow? Go Griz!!! Let's remember tho, the Cats had probably tge best football player to ever come out of Montana, Troy Anderson! The dude is a stud, period!!!
Truth. Montana State turned the corner with Jeff Choate. Not only with recruiting players in and out of state, but the mindset that a dynasty since the 70s could exist. Beat the field and UM, your season is basically yours.
It is wild, I happen to watch this game, have no dog in fight but love some of the non major conf. games, can't count how many great games I have seen way down the channels on a thurs, fri, or sat night. I did go to big sky school. I was alone, in mood for a random game, and watched , I have been comparing every college game to this since. And I now tape every game broadcasted in case, Harvard-Yale or North Dakota-South Dakota or whoever, has absolute barnburner.....NIL deals be damned...
Such a great video. Choate in now the HC @Nevadafootball and here in Reno we get it. For us it's FUNLV and Choate is already got the rivalry with the jc in vegas rolling. He's showing a ton of #NEVADATUDE!
My brother graduated MSU, my other brother Graduated MSU, I graduated MSU, my daughter graduated MSU. We were all born here. Nothing gets planned for CAT-Gris day or the day after. GO CATS.
Should there be a BOTW part 2 in these upcoming playoffs, I think we have a great shot with this roster to demoralize MSU for decades to come on the road to Frisco. THAT documentary will one to behold. GO GRIZ!!
Honestly didn’t know Montana had 2 big in state schools. Or they had teams. I don’t think I’ve ever even seen a game in the SEC that played one of these teams, even in a bowl. That’s kinda sad, would love to see teams across the country play other teams you’d never think would ever be matched up with. Kinda see the level and styles of play match up and see what happens. Maybe Montana beats up on Ole Miss or LSU etc.
Cool documentary about the rivalry and all. But Griz had the lead and the ball, Sneed was down before he fumbled. His left hand even knocks the ball out. Missed calls are part of the game though.
As an unbiased viewer, watching in slow motion, it's pretty clearly a fumble. Both views they show us here definitely show it being out just before his knee comes down. Even if it wasn't a fumble, I hardly consider that play a deciding factor in the game. You could speculate that Montana State could have stopped them on 3rd down, and forced a punt. Sure, 40+ yards further away, but all that *might* have changed is less time on the clock. Meaning instead of Montana State scoring with ~2:20 left, they might have scored with no time left, and the final stop wouldn't have even needed to occur. Like you said, missed calls are part of the game, so I appreciate that you aren't being bitter about it... however, it wasn't a missed call at all.
I remember when the Griz came to SLO ranked in 2010 thinking they could roll the Mustangs. Left with an L. Go on back to Missoula. One of the proudest moments and most fun games of my life. GO POLY
Good documentary, but the Battle of the Piney Woods rivalry between Sam Houston and SFA gives this a run for its money. Considering the average attendance is much higher (26,000) and the margin of victory is much lower in recent years (a combined 2 points in two years).
When does “the start of a rebuild” end at UM? Sixth place this year. Awesome! Additionally, the teams’ records were identical at the opening kickoff of the 2018 game.
Overall record for the Griz-Cat game (the correct way to say the name of this game): 74-42-5. Until they flip those columns, this game is called Griz-Cat. Brawl of the Wild? Get the f*** outta here. Ha!

Wow! Me and my kid will probably be watching this about 500,000 times throughout the rest of our lives. Well done, sir!
So awesome! Best game I've ever been to!
Being a Griz fan the loss is tough to watch. However, this documentary beautifully represents the greatness of the rivalry and how important it is to the entire state of Montana. Great Job. Go Griz
1 year later and we went to the natty
Great job! Really brings the passion to the screen. Cat-Griz- nothing like it. Go Cats. Thanks Coach Choate for setting the bar.
my son played in 2 of these rivalry games & was hurt during his last attempt & cut from the lineup even though he fully recovered for the next season. So u can understand my feelings when I say there will always be hostility towards the university.
Fantastic!!!
I knew the outcome, and my palms were still sweating. Great documentary.
Unbelievable documentary, it totally captures the intensity of these moments and this rivalry.
I've loved the Bobcats my whole life, and knew I would one day graduate from there. Watching this documentary makes me proud and grateful to be able to call myself a Bobcat. GO CATS!
Class of '82 here.
Love it! Perfect release timing! I've already watched it twice.
Incredible documentary a out one of the greatest games in Cat/Griz history! Just outstanding.
This is incredible
I'm from Texas, but after watching this, I'm a Montana State fan. Go bobcats!!!!
You chose the wrong side, my friend. Go Griz!

Griz fan here. This game was sole crushing. Everybody ready for College GameDay tomorrow? Go Griz!!!

Now with the Atlanta Falcons as a second round pick and progressing at ILB.
MSU '82.
I hope the bottoms of your feet have recovered.
@@jeffmaehre7150 ha ha, not yet, not till they get rid of Hauck!
@@jeffmaehre7150 To be honest I'm actually best friends with Jace Lewis's aunt and uncle and I really hated it when he lost. He's a great kid. 37
Could not love this more! It captures the true heart of a rivalry that is in our DNA. Go Cats Go!
Except 1997 was the greatest game ever, THE STREAK CONTINUES. Just about everything in this is wrong or just BS
So good
My dad was the safety on the 1997 team I didn’t realize how heartbreaking it actually was
Incredibly well done! Can't wait for tomorrow!
Wow, you get goosebumps. Fun to watch before the rivalry game tomorrow!
I was lucky to be there, amazing game! The Griz were tough, but the Cats refused to loose.

As a Griz, I hated watching this film but must say it nails the emotion and glory of the Brawl of the Wild...Go Griz!
Best rivalry in all of college football
As a Griz Fan, this is probably the best half hour explanation of what this game, rivalry is all about.
Jeff Choate is and always will be the GRIZ KILLER
Dang good! Nails it. Tremendous selling vid for both State and Mont.

Ohhh hell yeah
I'm a Griz fan and have to admit this is a great documentary about the Brawl, even if it is a brilliant propaganda piece by MSU.
Should there be a BOTW part 2 in these upcoming playoffs, I think we have a great shot with this roster to demoralize MSU for decades to come on the road to Frisco. THAT documentary will one to behold. GO GRIZ!!
Holy shit I am so stoked we hired Jeff Choate..
For all the idiots that watch Yellowstone and think that is what Montana is..THIS is what Montana is…
The last person out of town turns out the lights cause we’re all going to THE GAME!
Go Cats Go!

How do I get the soundtrack?

No miracles today. Sorry, kitties. When the Griz kick ass on the Cats, everything is right with the world.

2022 = 55-21 Grizz loss
2023 37-7 GRIZ KICKED YOUR ASS
25:48 nice voice crack lmfao
🤣 FTG! GO 🐱 GO!!
Go GRIZ !
Hmm, thought the most coverage they got was for all the criminal charges they racked up as a team
An amazing work. A brilliant tribute about a ranked team coming together to beat .500 team at the start of a rebuild.
Congrats on reading the whole title start to finish without watching a second of the video
When does “the start of a rebuild” end at UM? Sixth place this year. Awesome!
Additionally, the teams’ records were identical at the opening kickoff of the 2018 game.
Griz fans like to poop out of their mouths.

ZZZZZ, bozeman is manufactured , go to missoula and feel the life of actual Montana. decent mini doc, but very biased
🤣
Scat propaganda.
And they just got stomped by Montana lol
I wish I could be as proud to be from Oregon, and I am, yet it is tainted by the state being taken over by big city liberals from blue states.
The one thing about Choate he understood what this game means I'm hopping Vegen does also can't go 2 in a row
