I actually had to do this when I finally won the DELETE THIS challenge. The first item room had an unlimited active that not only fired an eraser, but also *a chaos card at the same time*

No one will ever do that since it makes no sense.
Its possible to do it in a normal run, its just very hard and precise. Mod spider would help

Here is my guess:
Each monster in the game has an ID.
Erasing a monster prevents any copy with the same ID from spawning in that run.
This even applies when you try to spawn an erased enemy with the debug console.
I tried to erase the first form of Hush, then spawn the second form with debug console, and that works.
It actually makes sense because they have different IDs.
However, it seems like during the fight with some bosses like Hush, the second form only spawns when the first one is killed, but not erased.
In case of the fight with Dogma (+Dogma's TV and Dogma Angel), Isaac can only deal damage and erase Dogma's TV.
Dogma can still trigger the second fight with Dogma Angel as shown in the video.
The three have their own IDs as well.
What happens if you use "R"?
interesting, also - what happens when you use chaos chard on the beast and dogma? I havent seen anything on it and havent been able to do it so i’d be interested in seeing what happens
Using "R" or doing victory lap is not counted as having a new run.
So all the enemies you have erased stay erased.

A thing worth noting is that if Delirium turns into a segmented boss like Larry Jr or The Hollow, and you use the eraser to kill one of the segments, you can end the fight early that way since I guess it counts that segment as "Delirium" and when it dies, then its like "Welp, Delirium's dead. Get out of here"
Delirium uses different ID from bosses, but segments spawned with bosses share the original ID of that boss. If you erase segmentless boss, it would be ignored because of Delirium'S ID. That is why you can erase Larry (Jr) to destroy Delirium

Super specific question that probably only can happen in a Tainted Cain run: If you erase one of the final bosses, use the R item, do the same path again, and at any point in the run use the clicker to change into another character that doesn't have that particular boss unlock, does it count as you killed it? Because the eraser will prevent it to spawn, but maybe the game understands it as a kill

People watching this are going to forget that eraser only does 15 damage to bosses, and you need to get the boss health low enough to kill it with that damage to erase the second phase
Thank you for the explanation on that, I wasn't sure if they changed the item or what lol. The explanation texts are covering the health bars most of the time so I didn't notice how low health they were.

Mega Satan's left hand, right hand and the head are three different enemies (with different IDs)
If you get rid of two and erase the last, you can skip the second phase.
The fight continues if only one hand is erased.

Erasing Dogma leading to you being stuck accidentally makes explainable and reasonable sense tho...
Dogma boss fight is essentially a fight for an item "Dogma" (ua-cam.com/video/YxzF9HyfX6A/v-deo.html) so Isaac can fly and fight the Beast.
No Dogma = no flight.
No wings = no repentance.
No repentance = Erasing Dogma is bad.

1. Will an erased enemy/boss still be erased during a victory lap/rerun?
2. If they do stay erased, how does it affect multiform bosses? Will they skip a phase, or will they not spawn at all?

i actually had a weird bug lately where I successfully erased War in around basement 2, with the pink poof cloud and everything
then later in boss rush, he actually appeared again, but took random high damage after a couple seconds (the first instance of damage getting him off the horse, the second instance of damage killed him entirely, and left behind a pink poof)
so weird, maybe boss rush has scripted waves that ignore erased enemies
It's always great to see someone test these sort of things out! By the way, does anything happen if you erase an ultra horseman? I doubt it would skip the others or the Beast, but it may soft-lock the game similar to Dogma(Angel). Same thing for erasing the last boss from a wave in Boss Rush. Does it still trigger the next wave? Or is the game really unhappy.

Do you unlock things, that were supposed to be unlocked after defeating a boss, when you erase the boss or its further forms. For example (if i know this correctly) killing hush wiht any alt character unlocks the consumable souls. Will you get that if you erase the first form and dont fight the second form at all?

I’m assuming it would, but does erasing a super seven deadly sin or a horseman remove them from the mega satan fight? Felt like that wasn’t touched upon.
Keep in mind that he uses mods. Eraser on bossess deals 15dmg. It wont one shot it. And you can use it once per floor anyway.

Try to use eraser when delimirum transforms to worm. since his parts are at low hp, you can abuse it to insta-kill delirium i think

2 - are shadow angels erased if you erase angel room angels?
3 - what happens if you erase the 2nd or 3rd forms of rotgut? do you get stuck in the crawl space or does it just shoot you out like normal?
1. yes, but you need to erase mega satan's left and right hands, and the head to skip the second phase
2. no
3. you will get stuck actually if you erase the 2nd form. It's safe if you do this to the 3rd
