The Looming Shadow
Avad is the 14th Sun-King of the Carja. Avad is a kind king and looks after Meridian well, ending the Slave Trade, Red Raids and the Sun Sacrifice's that his father - Jiran, the 13th Sun-King - put in place when he ruled over the Carja.
Avad is the opposite to his father, wanting to have his tribe equal to the other tribes. He believes in his goals strongly and wants peace and harmony with his tribe and the others. Although he understands that the damage that his tribe has caused will have left a mark on the other tribes. He is doing everything he can to make a mend for his father's actions.
Avad never believed in his fathers ways. The bond between him and his father was shattered once his older brother - Kadaman - was executed for not supporting Jiran's ways. Avad rebelled and ran away from Meridian, looking for Allies to help him to finish Jiran once and for all. He reunited with a Oseram woman by the name Ersa.
Avad had befriended Ersa when she was brought in by one of the Red Raids. Ersa had survived in the Sun Ring, so she had been made a palace slave instead. Avad had helped her escape, having to have come close with the woman.
With Ersa's help, Avad gained allies among the Oseram. Together, they attacked Meridian. Avad confronted his father and tried talking peacefully with him, asking that he surrendered. Although Jiran refused, giving Avad no choice but to kill him.
