@@kevlare-7324 the three main characters of Mafia 1 2 and 3 are all different you have Tommy Angelo who joined the mob cos morello wanted to kill him and he betrays the mob then you have Vito who became a mobster because he wanted to and you have Lincoln clay who robbed Bank with Italian Mafia 4 himself and his black Mafia family and he gets betrayed by them and wants cold revenge and I think that' if Tommy Angelo never bumped into Sam and Paulie and if Sam would have never gave him the money for saving them both plus if his taxi hadn't of got attacked by morello's men then I think he would have never have joined the mob but my favourite character is Vito because he 100% decided 2 join the mafia because of things like money and material things and Henry tommasino because he's a cop liked your comment Tommy Angelo is the third best character in my opinion he's amazing
Man what makes this ending even more powerful is that we learn in Mafia 3, Joe is alive, but Vito doesn't know. In other words, He "made" Vito believe Joe's life was not saved to teach him a lesson. A lesson on how being selfish and reckless can get you and the ones you care about the most in trouble. And that's the moral about this whole game. Everything that happened to Vito is all because he wanted more from his life. He wanted to be someone important, he wanted to live a life his family never could, he wanted to be respected. But sadly thanks to that mind set, his mother passed away due to a broken heart, he drove away his sister and he got his best friend "killed". The words of the late Thomas Angelo comes to mind. "The guy who wants to much from life, risks losing absolutely everything. But the guy who wants to little from life, might not get anything at all."

Is why the "death" of his friend will haunt him forever, unless he finds a way to forgive himself and move past this vengeful and bitter part of his life. But he never will, he now sees Leo as just another backstabber and will never again see him as the man who not only saved his life, but gave him the chance to lead a better one. Joe on the other hand? Him being alive and with Leo proves he DID learn from him. He knows if he tries to contact Vito, he'll just cause his death. There's no way they can take on the commission. So to keep his best friend alive, he has to maintain the story that he's dead. Even now, Joe's looking out for Vito.
I mean what would they do call the police? They can't prove it. And they certainly won't address someone who talks about killing much less someone in the mafia ( assuming they knew/didn't wanna take any risks with that )

Mafia 1 and Mafia 2 is a masterpiece and in my opinion, it's Mafia 2 that I love the most. Mafia 3 wasn't really that bad, but it didn't have the charm as the previous two games. Mafia 2 is just perfect. Humor, story, characters are just so well written
I remember getting the demo disc in Xbox magazine in 2009 you played the “Buzzsaw” mission and you could find the collectible playboy magazines, me being 11 I was immediately hooked.
I love how the opening cutscene of the last mission is a continuation to the opening cutscene to the whole game. It's like Vito is narrating his whole life up until the last chapter of the game!
I watched mafia 3 cutscenes. Felt like I had played it. I had the privilege of playing this one tho. It was the best. I like mafia 3 Lincoln he's not a mafia man he was simply a guy looking for payback against guys who just happened to be in the mob. You can't hate on that story
I never played the first game, but I had a feeling when you assassinate Mr Angelo that it must’ve been the protagonist from the first game. Otherwise they wouldn’t have given it such a large scene. Only later did I realise that that scene was actually in the first game. Really good tie in between the two games.

The only 2 flaws of this here MASTERPIECE of a game, are that it is short, just short enough, and the other, is that it came out in 2010, it did not get all of the respect that it deserved, and still deserves. We need a remake, with a longer story, not that extends on the end, but fills in some gaps throughout. This right here game, is truly deserving of a remake.
