Changing gaskets in the winter is easier. When I'm on my way to the job, I crank up the defrost and throw the gasket on the dash. By the time I get to the job, it's ready to go.😊 Thanks for the video!
Nice fix on saving money on overpriced OEM parts and WAGOs for the win. As you know that doesn't work on thermocouples though, the wires and connectors have to be the same material as the thermocouple wires are made of. Coolest set up I ever saw was at SpaceX in McGregor for the Merlin engine test stand. They had Phoenix blocks made for thermocouples and the connectors and screw terminals were made of the same metal used on the thermocouples leads. I think they were K type, so Ni-Cr or whatever they use. But never saw specific Phoenix blocks for thermocouples until then. Cool shit.
I had to change a 2020 GES-103 barrel because the other technician didn’t thaw it and could not get the probe out so he decided to drill a hole in it and hit the refrig line.
