Fantastic... just got a new one, refused to charge out the box... thought I was gonna have to return it which I didn't really want to since it was a really good limited time deal. Tried your solution and 2 minutes later it's fixed and charging! Ideal.
As another poster says, no need to remove bottom screws, just the top 4 bolts is fine. So quick and easy! Thanks!

    Worked for me!
I have a brand new yeti 500X off the shelf that wouldn’t charge. Stupidly, I waited until the night before my camping trip to take it out of the box and charge it up. This was quick and worked great.
    Thank you!!

That worked for me after letting by battery go to 0. Thanks!

Thanks, it worked! But the small screws don't need to be removed. 🙂 Maybe Yeti 500X Reset helps aswell: Press and hold the units and info button.

Do you know how to change fuse for AC inverter of where is it?
It would be extremely helpful if you can tell me.

I might have to give this a try. My 8mm input charge is not working. When plugged in the light will be solid blue. I have been charging my 500x with USB-C cable.

I'm afraid it might be something else mine also did not accept charge via usb-c. Let me and other people know how it went and did it fix issue.

@@ElectronicNoobBlog It did not work. I let my Goal Zero go to 0%. Disconnected and reconnected the red and black cables. Connected the 8mm power cable that came with my Goal Zero, solid blue, no charge.

@@harrelsennez Not good, sound like some sort of problem around MPPT circuitry, what about rear port 8mm?

Sadly did not work for me. The ! logo still shows on the screen, then the input slowly drops from 35 Watts down to 0 and then stays at 0 with an occasional 2 seconds up to 5/10 Watts and then back to 0.
    Dead battery?

Maybe it's discharged too deep - try measure voltage on that battery connector.

@@lawllipops13 Sadly not. I scrapped it in the end and bought a new one. I figured it's life lifespan had expired.

do you have suggestions for same issue with a yeti 1000

Sadly I do not have Yeti 1000. You can try open it and see if there is easy access for disconnect. Maybe it will work.

I have the 1400 and I had to flip it upside down get the cables disconnected at the battery let it sit for a few minutes and reattach. Also solar charged it to wake it up then all was fine. Should run these down to 20% or so every few months just to cycle it.
