Well, in 2014 when he shot Outlander with Caitiona Belfe they were both single and a chemistry developed between them ( it was so obvious) So. Why, if they were both ( Sam and Caitriona) free , spent so much time on set, a chemistry was so visible between them on and off the set and he's open to relationships, WHY nothing happened afterwards and , in a short while Caitriona got into a relationship with another man ? Sorry to say it but there is something fishy here ! Besides he says" he's open...don't know what he's open for ". Neither the reason that " the job is so encompassing" does not stand...I wouldn't be surprised if in a short while we learn that his prefferances go with men...It happens... and Sam shows signs of that ....
