"I'm coming for you," Doug Ford tells carjackers in Ontario, promising to build more jails

- Ontario Premier Doug Ford on Friday spoke directly to criminals he says are responsible for an uptick in vehicle thefts across Ontario, telling them “I’m coming for you.”
“Stop terrorizing our neighbourhoods, stop terrorizing our families. I’m coming for you, and when I get you you’re going to jail,” he said.
Ford applauded Peel region police Chief Nishan Duraiappah, who he said has done an “incredible job” as the region continues to grapple with a record year in auto thefts.
Ford said his government has asked the Federal government to enhance the number of border officers at the Port of Montreal, where the stolen vehicles are being shipped. He also commended officers, who he said have put their lives on the line to catch suspects responsible for carjackings and vehicle theft.
The premier also promised to “build as many jails as we need” to put criminals behind bars and tackle the uptick in auto theft.

Here's a story to share of a car theft that almost happened.
Was sitting on my porch when I saw this lovely lady walking towards our property. She just kind of stood there at the corner opposite to my roommates truck. It was night out, so she didn't see me sitting on the porch, enjoying a toke. She started to walk towards his truck, slowly at first, then a little faster. I knew she had no reason to be near that truck, considering everything said prior. I let her get to the truck itself, then shone a flashlight in her direction and asked "Can I help you with something?"
Apparently, she was waiting for a friend to come pick her up. So I told her "Well, I'm 110% certain that ain't his vehicle."
She said in reply "Oh, okay; I'm going to wait over here for them then."
I replied "Okay, well I'll be out here for a while enjoying my joint here, so don't mind me."
Their friend arrived 20 minutes later after I had finished and was still sitting there. They even made an effort to stick around in that specific block of my street going back and forth a few times; to see if I was still there, protecting that truck by doing nothing at all. Roommate was glad to hear he still had a truck to drive the following morning. He had left on foot for some bar hopping that night.
It was almost as if they had targeted him specifically, and knew his schedule; but had no clue of me.
Nobody would have to "come for them" if they weren't here in the first place.
Need more prisons, cops, and close the border.

The thing is, Ford doesn't seem to understand what bail is or why we have it. But the judges can only follow the law as it pertains to the type of crime. If he wants to put these people in jail, he needs reform, not likely minded puppet judges.

Time and time and time again, I've read stories about people who were arrested for some crime and in nearly every case, among the things they get charged with is violating bail conditions. That means they were out on bail when they committed the latest offence. Then they get let out on bail again for the new offence. That should not happen. Anyone violating bail conditions needs to be kept in custody until their trial. Period.

My friend was carjacked on her way to work yesterday. She got away and called 911. While she did this, he jumped a pickup truck and got smoked. He's in hospital in serious condition. I think he may have been homeless. He may have been a drug addict but no one knows right now what motivated him to do this. Car doors automatically lock when they are in drive today. That was a lucky break for my friend.
Do not re-elect Doug ford, he gives all government contracts to his friends which drag on the contracts longer to get paid more and steal our tax dollars. This guy's a crook, his brother smoked crack, they knew people and cooperated with people he legally shouldn't have. They don't care about our public safety and will just keep eating away at our public funds.
