- Berkeley Systems may be well-known for After Dark and You Don't Know Jack, but before all of that, they actually developed software primarily for the accessibility market...yes, really. Join Savvy Sage as he goes over the origin story of Berkeley Systems, their first software products, and their impact on the tech industry.
DISCLAIMER: Due to the lack of screenshots for select software covered (like the first version of inLARGE), some footage had to be recreated based on the text of articles from various magazines and newsletters, for the sole purposes of this documentary-it may not be 100% accurate to the real thing.
NOTE FOR 23:53: Some magazines from early 1993 had Stepping Out II listed for sale, but generally speaking, the software was pretty much on its last legs by the end of 1992.
Special thanks to @ComputerClan and @MichaelMJD for lending their voices!

#SavvySage #BerkeleySystems - Наука та технологія
I was blessed to be a little kid growing up spending summers in the berkeley systems/flipside building. That slide down to the break room is one of the strongest memories ill ever have. They let my grandfather bring me every day and just play games while he worked. Good times. You Dont Know Jack felt like a big deal
I actually can’t believe you got Krazy ken and MichaelMJD in here. Who next LGR?
Maybe? (Can't promise it though)
Lgr would be amazing
To be fair, Ken's a good friend of Sage, so he was easy to rope into this
I didn't recognize non-Krazy Ken at first.
More fantastic stuff! Thanks so much for making this.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I love how the outSpoken software had so many random features to the point where it could be overwhelming. But I genuinely really want things that can read the exact coordinates of a window/give its resolution on my own computer. They'd be so helpful
Cool! I never knew the back story of Berkeley.
No one did until now/unless they worked at Berkley or Sierra
8:51 : Ken
21:48 : Michael MJD
Michael JMD has been a long time favorite and computer clan is pretty good
Both are great to me
