This is one of the best songs that introduced me to the love for music, the piano. This and "Shadow Dancer" by Spencer Brewer with Nancy Rumbel had given me so much love for music when I was a sophomore in college. Right after I graduated, I got my first job. With my first couple paychecks I bought a piano instead of a car. :-) I have learned to play the piano since then. Thank you so much Eric and Nancy!
Mr. Tingstad, I once drove 40 miles through a blizzard with four friends to see you play in Weed California at the College of The Siskiyous. I don't think that there was more than 10 people attending, because of the weather, but you sat at the foot of the stage, and we all gathered 'round, and it was wonderful. This must have been the early '80s. I just wanted to thank you for not cancelling, it would have been understandable. It is one of my all-time favorite concert memories.
Another world-class production by Tingstad and Rumbel with help from their friend, Mr. Lanz. I believe it is a fitting tribute to one of America's (may I say, the World's) heroes. Keep up the great work!
I've always loved this song...one of my all time favorites of yours and Nancy's. I saw you in concert in Talent, OR a couple December's ago, and when you explained why and what the song was written about, it meant even more to me. Thank you for writing songs like this...they mean so much!
Not sure if the comparison is possible. Beatles (and other bands) are great musicians, but Eric and Nancy are in other level, or maybe in other dimension. I've heard "Shadow Dancer" a lot of years ago and be fascinated. Now, with this fantastic tool that internet is I can enjoy and watch shows of this amazing couple. My next goal (before die) is have the opportunity to attend a live show.
Came to know about this song a couple of months ago, just when I thought I had reached the limit of music that I would love. This one's ranks up there among my favourites!
+Gloria Mendoza Cuando escuché Behind the waterfall de David Lanz & Paul Speer, me enamoré de la música de new age. Todos los días la escucho en mi oficina para trabajar. En la camioneta pongo rock!
I'm jumpin' genres here - Eric, Nancy, and David are vastly superior to the Beatles or any other sixties band. Musically, instrumentally, creatively they have no peer. Nancy may very well be the finest English horn/ oboe/ ocarina player on earth - literally! Eric- Their are only a handful of guitarists in the world as competent as he. David, along with Spencer Brewer and Michael Jones are the three best pianists on earth! By the way my absolute favorite music is 1960's music!
❤❤❤what a lovely tribute❤❤❤
Heard this on the music channel when I was trying to fall asleep! Amazing music! Thanks!
