The most important for me now is to be withing a selected heartrate zone by the Polar device alerts (sound or haptic alerts only). If i’ve reached low limit, i want to feel or hear the signal. And if the high limit is reached, i also want to know about it by another signal or another haptic feeling. So, i want to run without checking or looking at the watch at all.
Hi there and thanks for asking. With Polar Beat app you can't set targets. However, you can set training targets with different heart rate zones from Polar Flow when using a wrist device. Instructions how to do this can be found here: ua-cam.com/video/Z8qRInq_yL0/v-deo.html
Hi there and cheers for reaching out! The algorithms of the Polar device features are created for healthy adults. However, the HR can be measured from kids as well, just make sure that the heart rate belt or wrist device is worn correctly (ie. are not too big) and that the physical settings from the watch are adjusted to fit the user. I hope this helps.
Why on earth can't I edit distance after doing a treadmill run? Just ran for 30 mins in zone 4 and 5 but my records show I covered 0km. Glaring flaw, I'm staggered. Back to garmin I go.

The formula for max HR is worthless for older people or people out of shape. I am 62 and there is no way my max HR is as low as 158.

You can set your maximum HR manually in your sports profile, either on flow.polar.com or in your watch. I raised mine from 187 to 200 which is much better for me.
Emanuel Lindström Thanks, I did know that and have set it manually. I just wish there was a better way to find Max HR without killing yourself on a treadmill. I finally ran hills one day till I basically collapsed and my HR never went above 168, so I set my max for 170.
@@aCountryVegan thats the best way, run up a hill for a certain time, walk down for a certain time and again run up at maximum capacity. Do that a few times and you find max HR. 15 years ago i had 210.
You went through so much trouble to make this video without telling us how to set up a polar device to give an alert when we are running outside of our target heart rate zone. Does that seriously not embarrass you?
Howdy! So did I understand correctly that you are after ZoneLock? ZoneLock lets you lock into the training zone (heart rate zone, speed/pace zone or power zone) you’re currently in on the fly. For more information here: support.polar.com/en/how-to-use-zonelock-vantage-m-vantage-v

Considering the same thing. Did you get an answer to your question?
Good idea why don’t they do this
I'm triying to accomplish this with the polar h10 but seems imposible :(
On the pacer pro just press and hold the read button on the right and it will lock the zone and vibrate
Clear explanation but horrible beat underneath which is way too loud for a background tune.
Ok, how to settle polar beats to keep warning me my effort level and time period for intervals?
Amazingly nice video ! Very well made
Thank you very much!
Does Polar Beat not offer heart rate monitoring or zone training within the software? I know that Garmin does and its nice.
