Awesome! Just want to thank you for being such a great help and teacher to me as the lead player at my church. I have used your videos as a reference frequently. will be playing this for the first time come Sunday.
Talk about a string-skipping exercise! I'm a pretty decent player, but this requires some extra practice and concentration. (Don't recommend trying to lead this song and play this at the same time unless you know it so well that you don't even have to think about it as you play. LOL!)
Kyle Scott James I use multitracks.com to listen to the parts, then I flip back and forth from that to the recording and listen for lead lines that are heard in the mix the most, then those will be the lead parts. Anything that is not heard as much in the recording is most likely going to be used as rhythm parts
@@wwinford Ok thanks for the info. I’m playing rhythm for this song for my church and they transposed to to the key of c so I’ll have to adjust for that
I have a "fender" Stratocaster. It's fake. It stays perfectly in tune. Would you recommend to buy a Mexican fender strat or buy Eric Johnson pick ups for the fake?
Great job. More of a cover than a tutorial. Would be a tutorial if the camera focused closer to the fretboard so we could see the strings and what frets your fingers are on. Also a break down of the parts. Great playing though.
I consider it to be a tutorial because I note the effects in real time with the song and do an occasional slowed down part at the end of the video. Plus I use this channel to resource guitarists at my church who are trained to use their ear to pick out these parts in the video. They are not intended to be long training videos, just a play-through that notes the effects used and an occasional slowed down section that might be too fast to pick out
abcorr88 tabs are a crutch, watch his hands and use your ears with your guitar in hand. I promise you'll be such a better player if you start learning that way.
When you buy most reverb pedals , they usually have knobs labeled with different characteristics of your reverb such as : Decay, Mix, Pre Delay, Mix simply refers to how much of the echoey tone you’ll get or the Bigness of the reverb
Lito Mendez, Jr. I only use delay at the end of the song and I note the bpm at that section, 6:08 in the video. Here’s my timeline file if you want to see any settings. www.dropbox.com/s/w0gicimcladrt7f/SO%20WILL%20I.syx?dl=0

Follow up: a little bit of a different sound, but much easier to play using finger picking.
Lol, that's exactly what I do on the verse. ;)
@@mrstrypes it's actually finger picked on the album
I finger pick the whole song, except for the buildup in the 2nd half of the bridge, and the solo at the end. Much easier.
Hey man. What are you using for an amp? I have like the exact same strat and i'm digging your tone.
John Laco 2x 90s VoxAC30s in stereo. Also my strat has Eric Johnson pickups in it
love your approach to playing mate. wicked stuff.
AMEN
Thank you for doing it! God bless you.
AMAZING WORK!!!
Hello there.
I'm Brazilian and thank you very much for your help. Made a lot easier with your video!
Do you learn all of these by ear or what is your method of learning them? And how do you differentiate the rhythm from lead guitar parts?

@@CK_Fitness Check out the live version by Hillsong Worship. It's in the key of D and could be transposed easier

danny cervantes fender makes very good Mexican guitars now for a good price. I would recommend maybe looking for a used one
wwinford awsome, thank you!
Awesome! Thank YOU!
love it

@@wwinford totally understand that. Maybe a split screen with a close up on the freting hand would help people see better. Just a suggestion. 😁
How do you have your bigsky set up? I have a blue sky but can’t exactly nail the reverb on this song
Siavash Massoudi about 4 to 6 seconds of decay and 60% mix on norm mode and plate type should sound pretty close
Where can I find a tab??? xxx
Esther Pismiris this! Where can we find the tabs?

totally agree with +yeatzee7786 Once you get down the "use your eyes and ears" it changes the game.
Could this be uploaded with just the guitar and no lyrics?? PLEASE
Can someone please explain to me what the 60% mix hall reverb is and means? Im good at guitar but know effects too well
Sam Plautz I am using a hall reverb on my strymon bigsky with the mix knob turned up 60%

What effects are you using??
Cody Urteaga I list all the effects in the video
Thx broo!!!
Can anyone tell what strings he plucking in the instrumental? I can't seem to catch it
James Hang I am going back and forth from the G and B strings and changing the bass notes on the E, A and D strings
Thanks!
what its the model of the guitar?
Luis Felipe Bonilla 2000 Fender Stratocaster
Are you gonna reupload the lead for this song
