I think you are absolutely onto something here. Something I have half-realised myself, but to hear you articulate it clearly is really helpful. Trying to camp in a minimal fashion, as the danger is you try and replicate home at camp and have completely defeated the purpose. Also, you can kind of do this and the prep thing concurrently, applying what you learn camping to your preps.
I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Building up a good camping setup while also building up a stockpile of prepping items would give us the gear we need and build skills at the same time.
Camping gear is where id start camping skills preps ya for basic survival skills that ya need to make it thru a tuff spot whenever it may hit ya your ahead if the game if ya can make fire and cook huge moral booster I totally agree with you on this one
When the power went out here for two days I just pulled out my camping gear and we did just fine. We were able to cook and easily keep busy. I think it's the perfect place to start.

Hey man I’m looking to get into solo camping but I don’t know what gear to pick up. And I want the best bang for my buck so I was wondering if you’d be able to make a video based on camping gear and supplies, and what you’d recommend, thanks brotha 🤙
My issue is that a lot of my favorite gear isn't made anymore. They don't make the tent I use anymore. They don't make the chair I use anymore. I could make a video going over what you will need but I won't be able to go into specific name-brand gear.
Nothing worse than having all the fancy equipment and having no skills to use it.. Fill your brain by experience first .. then worry about the totes and bags.. JMHO

What good is a tent and a stove if you got no tools to get firewood or food? Where are you getting the money from to buy new tents if you are starting over? Seems like a waste of money, First thing i would buy is tools to build shelter and do jobs for others to trade skills for what I need.
What do you think is the best trade skill to get into that would help make money now and trade for good after SHTF???
