among touhou games, this is the hardest one to clear without using a continue.
despite losing lives stupidly in the early run, this was my best attempt so far. would've been a 2CC if i didn't mess up the survival at the end
lives are really easy to get though. you just need to graze 200 bullets in a single chapter to get a fragment, so you can stock lives really quickly.
a reminder that i'm not good at shoot'em up games. i panic very quickly and lose composure, ending up in losing lives or using a bomb all the times - Ігри

I don't play LoLK but this run seemed pretty decent up until Junko, where it just went to hell. I've only done an Easy pointdevice no bomb clear, and the patterns towards the end are seriously hard. Don't people say that LoLK Normal is actually more difficult than Hard? I personally think so, what with having reduced resources and some patterns becoming randomised (Clownpiece first spell, stage 6 shooting stars).
Also the first death on Ringo is so relatable. I didn't expect her bullets to come out so far so fast.
It's actually pretty cool to see a run that isn't a superplay. It gets a little depressing when you see others play insanely well in extremely difficult shmups, while I'm busy flubbing in the easiest Touhou game (LLS) lol.
I assume you will be pushing towards a 1cc? I would definitely love to see more shmup content from my favourite Tetris player.
Hard is easier than normal because of some Clownpiece spells which have less randomized patterns. The density of hard still makes it tougher, but that gives easier chance to graze abuse your life pieces once you learn how to

I agree, Touhou 15 is like ZUN was tired of the players saying "Touhou is becoming too easy" so he said "lol k" and made LoLK.

yeah...before this SA was the hardest touhou game and orin was the hardest stage 5 boss, but everyone was ok with it, this one doesn't work on many levels, the lore logic behind the difficulty is understandable, but some of the patterns look really stale and oversimplified, and dodging them becomes more of a memory game with absurd precision rather than understanding the general movement and reacting accordingly
This games is supposed to represent the "pure" Danmaku, but it just feels like it was just made to annoy the player :P

Learn basic shmup skills. Learn the game's layout. Consistently practice.
@@lunarstrom8160 i can 1cc most on normal and some on hard, but i just can't 1cc lolk. maybe i just suck lmao
@@이리야 Yeah LoLK is just way out there with the difficulty. I have touched LoLK a bit and hoo boy.
It's easier to improve your skill when you stick to one game than to move from game to game. It'll definitely suck and it's gonna take quite a while (maybe a week, maybe a month, perhaps longer) but you will eventually get it. And when that happens it will be so gratifying, especially if you put in a lot of effort into it.
Try to do at least one run a day. Scrutinise replays people put up and adopt their strategies. Use stage practice to quickly improve over doing full runs at the start.
You don't necessarily have to throw yourself at LoLK. You can play another Touhou shmup that you find more fun until you can get a Lunatic 1cc, then come back and try LoLK Normal or Hard.

Edit: By replays I mean both survival and scoring replays. People who go for score usually have really good strategies that you may not see in survival runs. For example, perhaps a particular section looks really messy, but the bullets are aimed just around you and sitting still will let you survive easily. Scoring runs will exploit this for the extra graze, while survival runs may just dodge normally. I play LLS currently, and I found a lot of cool safe spots by watching score runs.
Also everyone who plays shmups will suck at some point so don't worry too much about that. If you keep challenging yourself you will no doubt improve. If you are getting Hard clears, you're already above average and pretty hardcore.
@@lunarstrom8160 thanks, i kinda don't memorize'n play and just move game to game, that was my problem. maybe i'll stick to lolk a bit and try to clear it.
