In an age where sweet tobacco accords pretty much rule the market, it's nice to wear something that harkens back to the dry, ashy or upscale tobaccos of the past. Just recently sampled Amouage's Royal Tobacco and I was quite impressed. Very much took me back to the 70s. 😄 Not exactly a gentlemanly lavender-tobacco like in D&G's PH, but a very solid fragrance just the same.
Love Acqua de Cuba and Cuba Cologne! An obvious one not mentioned is D&G PH which a very nice Italian citrus with dry tobacco accord. You’ve probably smelled it.
Nice list, I haven’t smelled any of these! I’m still on the hunt for the perfect pipe tobacco/bat rum scent, haven’t found it yet. I thought Nishane Fan Your Flames would scratch that itch but I get this off putting gassy note. Amouage Royal Tobacco is too ashy. I like the authentic, unburnt tobacco of a cigar or pipe.
Cheers Ryan, some classic Tobacco trappings sure enough and by god some I’ve not sniffed nor heard of ,which is always most exciting,as the unknown recommended by a true fragrance lover ,always peaks my interest, most enjoyable and much appreciated ✌️🙏👍
I've been to Cuba a few times, been to Alejandro Robaina's farm, Partagas factory, H. Upmann factory, etc. I agree with you about Acqua di Cuba being a good representative of the place.
I've noticed that (men's) fragrance lists always focus on the classy, mature man. You know, some mythical guy in a suit with a square jaw who's closing all the deals, wears a Rolex, is super suave, etc. Where're the tobacco fragrances for the guy who works at Chili's and drives a 2004 Corolla, and has a stain on his shirt?
Fantastic review 👌🏼 .thanking you.
Cheers, Nathan.
I am loving your videos.
Thank you!

There's always something comforting about going old school.
First one I thought of was Creed Tabarome Milliseme.
Yeah, that fits right in.

I've not smelled D&G PH!

For me, that's Acqua di Cuba!
Been loving these videos on notes, just wanted to express my thanks

Thank you the extra validation. It really takes me back there!
Interesting as usual! Aramis Havana caught my attention the most.. ✌️
It's great stuff.
have you tried the Alghabra tobacco fragrances? They have Cuban, Peruvian, and Jamaican tobacco. Very new
I have not, just because they're so pricey.
