5:10 I do believe the first mate Zorro duels with is Fred Cavens, the sword/fencing master for Guy and the show. Fast and furious, really went at it, didn't they? But then they were probably the only two fencers who could duel at that speed and not risk injury. Damn. I want more. (Btw, Fred is also the ship's captain dueling with Diego in the very first scene of the very first episode, 1x01.) Love it when Zorro loses the cape. So hot...
Found out that the first mate here (and the ship's captain in 1x01) is actually Albert Cavens, Fred's son. They trained stars like Douglas Fairbanks and Tyrone Power, and designed the sword sequences in dozens of moves. Walt hired the best for "Zorro."
My daughters say I'm silly for mourning Annette as if she was my wife. That's the effect she had on everyone. Annette was the girl I wanted to marry from the time I was 9. She was very special and we all knew it. RIP Angel!
Thats awesome that they had Annette Funicello Guest star twice on Zorro once on the series and then again on one of the Specials but I only wish they used the the same character its confusing I hate it when they do that cause you know you've already got introduced to her in the show but we are supposed to pretend shes somebody different and their just doppelgangers but it was cool having her on the show regardless.
So why doesn't she marry Diego, for pity's sake!?! And poor Sgt. Garcia! He finally looks like he's going to get kissed by a pretty girl, and SHE goes and gets distracted by a pretty face and forgets all about it! (And it was his NIECE who was going to kiss him, for crying out loud!)

Right. I forgot about that part. She's still as good as family, right? So how come the good Sgt. didn't even rate a friendly peck on the cheek? (Leaving aside the fact that he looks in perpetual need of a shave ... ) I guess she's the sort that's too easily distracted by a pretty face. Kinda explains how she got into that mess in the first place, right?
These are truly great shows which bring us back to the great era of our childhood. No Zorro since has had Guy WIlliams presence and flair...
Loved some of the close-up shots during the boat fight, giving a feeling of the confined space they're fighting in.
Can't they just revive all these actors, actresses, screenwriters and other people who worked in this, I want more seasons!! ;p

I enjoyed Guy Williams as Zorro. Can one get these episodes on DVD? Annette was a little fickle at the end.
