Its interesting to see how you go about planning your journals. I'm curious to see how the old paper holds up.

Lots of patching with lace and reinforced edges. There will be a lot of tiny rips, but it adds to the vintage look. 😊

Thanks! It's been harder than I thought, some of it is crumbling away! Tricky 😀

Those old pages are so dry, it's difficult to keep them in one piece. I've had them disintegrate on the gelli plate, so it's hard to decide what media to use.

I am finding that out. I had to rethink how to use some of the papers, as they tore or cracked just turning the pages :( This is a learning experience for sure!

This is going to be a lovely journal. I'm so glad you're using your old ephemera. I have so much trouble taking mine out of the hoard vault, however, you are inspiring me to just use it! 🩷🩷🩷

I completely understand! I have saved so much ephemera and hesitated to use it, but I have to reduce my stash. No one can see it packed away, so let's use it so people can enjoy it. 😄

@@shenandoahpapercraft I've had old photos for years. I either need to use them or pass them on to someone who will.

Old photos are the best! I am always buying black and white snapshots of family vacations, etc. at my local flea market. I use them in everything :)
