I can't understand why this guy is so underrated, can't you appreciate his talent? He definitely deserve million subscriber
Thanks man. I appreciate that. I'll get there. 🙂💪🏻
Tom Dyer is hardly underatted! Known as one of the best flair bartenders back when I was involved. Although he does have dreads now apparently🤣. I've been out of the flair game for over a decade tbf
This made me want to deadass just go practice bartending and slide to an interview and be like “watch this”
Do it. 😉💪🏻
That's about to be me tomorrow 😂🤞
Bartending is way more than these tricks. You need to have some knowledge of ingredients and drinks. You can flip bottles and throw shit in the air all day but if your not fast and have to Google every drink someone orders, then even if you do get hired, you won't make shit for money.
@@erikkzn2386 who tf is "we"? Industry people sure, but there's plenty of people that would watch a flair bartender do tricks and think they're the best of the best, when a mf doesn't even know their pour counts or how to make an old fashion lol
Been bartending for 7 years and always wanted to learn flair. I'm for sure gonna practice these asap!
NICE. best of luck Anna. I hope you got some of these. I have plenty of other videos that will help too.
Assisted roll is so cool, I wanna learn this and bust it out when I’m making my daughter breakfast, with oj 😂

I've been practicing this BUT I've invested in empty bottles and pourer's so I'm not wasting tons of booze lol its just water.
That’s smart!

Wow wow wow very very nice tks bro. Good luck.
You're welcome. Happy practicing 😉👍🏻
I've been studying mixology so intensely for the last 2 years, been working in bars for the last year and a half and I'm actually super proud of myself and how much I've learned as a mixologist. However, as a bartender, my flair abilities are just embarrassing haha. Everytime I try to learn, i make such a mess/so much noise hahaha.
Ugh…mixologist…
It’s just bartending, mate. The term mixology is as corny as the term foodie. I’ve been bartending for nearly twenty years, and every time someone comes in for a job and the first thing they say is “I’m a mixologist” I know right off the bat that they’re a shit bartender. My response is always, “great, we’ll start you off as a barback so you learn how to tend the bar.” That usually separates the wheat from the chaff.
@@eyespy3001 well, I have to agree with that. I separate the two by calling mixology the whole process of using techniques to create infusions, bitters, etc. And then bartending as actually working at the bar. But you are 100% right. It's the same thing
Flair is not needed to be a good mixologist .. Most flair shown above is unhygienic (putting the damn bottle in the shaker) and it's hard to measure accurately whilst doing all this .
Just like that I'm hooked...teach me master
Hahahahahaha.....Practice makes perfect, but I'm sure you can get some of these movew quickly.
Very nice.
Thank you! Cheers!
Luv it ! You have To comme in Cognac! Exhibitionning at luciole or Bar Louise.
Thank you.
I'm always open for invitations. 👍🏻
Wowwww💓
Dude you are so awesome I'm gunna start trying some of this at work. Pray for me😭
I hope you have got some of them...i just posted a new video which could be helpfult oo
You are awesome my friend! Thank you so much. Brand new at bartending but this gives me ways to really make things look awesome and pro! :)
You're welcome Jackson. Practice hard and have fun
Im not old enough to bartend yet but im getting there and ill keep this in mind when i do... also sweet tattoos my friend i only have one merkaba on my arm :D
Bartending is a lifestyle. You gotta love it to keep going.
Tattoo is made by a lady called esme Baker. Her studio is the boiler room in Guilford if you are interested. Happy practicing
Yo! I love the video!
When would you use the long pours? Like the one where you roll down and up under your arm, I don't know a lot of cocktails that needs like 10cl of vodka :b
With practice you're able to control the amount quote easily and while ots rolling hardly anything is poured
Nice
I Salute you thank you so much simple but attractive
My pleasure. Happy practicing.
This is great. I am a bartender but we don't learn any cool tricks as we are a higher end corporate restaurant. Obviously you have to read the customer at a place like I work but when you get one that can appriciate flare, it will earn great tips.
Thanks Jill. I hope it will be helpful. I think this video will be more useful for you in a place like yours

Part 3 waiting
What about part 2? 😉
Awesome video! How many bottles and glasses did you break while working at the bar?
None
@@TomDyerBartender that's impressive. 🔥 I thought about to learn barkeeping tricks, but I would always be afraid to break something.
wow your 😎 dude!
Yeah, it looks awesome. Def great presentation but how are the accuracy of your pours, though? The quality of your cocktails?
They're very good, thanks for asking.
I can free pour well, make a balanced cocktail and serve quickly. 😉
Nice man very useful i will practice this move (assisted roll to pour) with my training bottle at home and i can use it at work when i start my season , i can do the other moves , cant wait for your next tutorials !
Glad this one has helped. See if you can upgrade the other moves to their next levels? :)
@@TomDyerBartender unfortunately we dont work with napkins so i cant use these tricks or i might bring my own napkins to work so i can bring up the level of the bar because im the only one who will do working flair there , my collegues are not experienced bartenders , and im finding difficulties stalling the bottle on my elbow , i can do it perfectly on my fingers and my forearm after a spin, but i think its harder to balance it on the elbow i have to practice it more .
I want to learn you're basic technique......... Thanks bro.
Always welcome
My dream is to be a best bartender and I'm really getting help from you bro and I really like to watch your vedio I'm still learning bar but I also won to learn flair
Great. Glad I can help out. There are a lot of videos you can watch. Thanks for the comment.
excuse me sir, may I ask a question?
Suppose I am trying to make a drink and I usually use a jigger, am I also able to pour amount of liquid accurately while performing these wonderful tricks?
there's a method called free pouring where you count seconds to pour exactly 1oz or more, knowing that any liquid (not syrups) comes out at the same speed/time
it takes a couple days to learn and it really comes in handy if you have a lot of drinks to prepare
Yes. Stefano, gave a good explanation. Have a look for a video on "free pouring" and that should help you out
One think. What about the amount of liquid poured i to the shaker while rolling the bottle. You can ot masure that or you can pour it to the jiger after all but it would looks really stupid.
I assumed that if someone wasn't free pouring it was because they weren't allowed to, not because they weren't familiar with it lol
Im also being a bartender.. i wannaa learn from you so many things 😍😘😘😘😘
i own a bar
This is why I started my You Tube channel so people can learn from me.
Hi sir I just love all your moves and I just wanted to work with you
Hello there, I know this video is a long time ago, but how do you know how much you pour while doing flair??
you count while you pour and after a while of doing these moves, it just becomes second nature. It takes practice, but with enough, you can be very accurate.
Hey tom, im from kenya and im looking for your training dvds..where can i get them?
Hi Ian, I think www.barproducts.com might still have it. I only have 1 DVD from 2007....My You Tube videos have better content 😉
i love all these moves but how do you know how much volume of alcohol is actually going into the drink in ounces ?. do you do your pour count ? to know how many ounces is going in because that is quite important for the how the cocktail tastes . thank you great video
You got it Mark. I count my pours. I can now count for Oz or Mls.
With practice one can become very accurate when performing these moves and free pouring. It takes a little bit of time, but you'll be surprised how good you can get it.
I really appreciate these trucs as I'm a beginner but I really need balance that's my big matter
Bartend first flair second. Enjoy the journey and don't rush it.
💜
But, but.. I switch video and now you have DREADLOCKS !
Dreadlocks were first and then they got cut off :)
Ohhhh ! Anyway, both way are great
Que legal
Damn this is him now? Met this guy in Singapore in 2010 used to have glasses and short hair.
This is not me now either.....this is me now,
ua-cam.com/video/3GwsJxRThp4/v-deo.html
How do you get an accurate pour measurement when you flare ?
Learn to free pour. Also performing these moves you learn quickly when it's pouring and when it's not to be able to free pour
How do you keep your counts accurate?
Practice. You'll be surprised how accurate you can be if you just practice a little bit.
You can always use a Jigger at the beginning to check your pours before they go into the drink
I have a video coming out about this today
...in one hour from now
You get to know your equipment over time...if you use the same Type of pourer on each bottle at your bar it comes down to get a rythm. I count down in my head all the time so i can freepour at work...saves precious time during rushhour 😉👈
@@tlou2cinematicgameplay636 my bar has three different pourers 💀
How about some tricks with the jigger? Outside of US bartenders can't free pour
ua-cam.com/video/XleMH73WMYs/v-deo.html
My advice, look for another bar to work at! I'm from Belgium and I ain't got no problems with the amounts of booze I use. I always think "gotta give them something worth of 15/20 bucks"... I ain't gonna charge ya 20 bucks for, just an example, sex on the beach without a decent amount of Vodka and schnapps! 🤣✌️

Hi great!
Big Up for you.
I only want to ask you, how can you count the quantity of liquid when you do thing like the one at 5:40 min?
Thank you !
You are the best
Count as a normal pour. The more you do the move the better you will be able to control the pour itself.
1, 2, ,3 bounce equals 25mls
Use black theme or black paper in back and different lighting for better results
thank you for your suggestions
U got dat sign behind u is from Rich Dad poor Dad
Holy shit
I am asking me how I can know how much liquid I am putting in the Shaker while the flairs

are you usually doing 2oz/60ml pours with these tricks?
Yes he do. Hes a expert so theres nothing you can do if its standard or not😂
There is no set amount to pour. It all depends on the drink you are making really
The pain of watching him throwing all the booze out...😩💯I would invite friends and family for my videos and have them tip me off the drinks made lol

It's unfortunate that I'm from Norway and doing my bartending there... If the authorities saw us pouring like this we'd lose our license to serve alcohol pretty damn quick, lol, it's just that strict... Gotta measure every drink out.
Also, the bar I work at? There's just no time for flare -- if I were to try doing napkin-tricks the people furtherst back in the queue would only get their drink come midnight, ROFL! Cool tricks though for when you have just a few guests ordering, gonna try some of it out, thanks!
Ive been to Norway many times and have friends that moved to work there. They all flair and used flair behind the bar and made a lot of tips. They know how to free pour and they use a jigger as well.
It's all about perspective and using the right moves at the right time. Check out my secret flair moves video
Sorry for the late response. But yeah of course some people will, Norway's a long and windy place, haha! But I guess the place I work at just chooses to follow the laws of Norway to the letter though. We have regular random inspections from people in civilian clothing who put marks in your records for the most annoying and ridiculous things, and if they see you doing this kinda free pouring stuff you're very likely to get at least a written warning if not a dot or two in your book if a lot of other things aren't right according to them, and once you've received either of those they are even more liable to come through more often.. It sucks :(@@TomDyerBartender
Some of the pouring things are really cool, but most of the drinks I’m making I already have the shaker filled with ice, so I feel like trying it with ice would not be very practical lmao
a little trick i use for this is keep the ice in the glass and if you actually need to shake just dump the ice from the glass into the shaker
So start without ice in the shaker. 🤷🏼♂️
oh this. 👆🏻
At which Ebs Location do you teach?
I dont teach at any of the EBS Locations. However I am co-owner of:
-London
-Paris
-Milan
-Rome
-Cape Town
how do you control the amount of liquid with the second trick?
By counting. Learning how to Free pour means counting when you pour.
During the rolling part of the move, hardly any liquid pours out (maybe a few ml's) so when you pour you're able to count to achieve the correct amount
Cool! I have dread dandruff in my drink now. Super awesome
Don't tell everyone, they'll all want some. ;)
Um can I just have a beer
Its called *FLAIR* bartending
Way too easy! When you did it goddd
For some people this is not easy. As the video says. "Beginner"
3 minutes on napkin spinning ! Kidding me.
But 7 minutes on a bunch of other stuff. 😉
Some people are slower learners than others too, so it is necessary to be thorough for those that dont get it as quick as others.
