What if your leather jacket arrived new with a million wrinkles? And no amount of ironing has removed them? Maybe it’s the type of leather with which the jacket was made? Is it hopeless? Thanks in advance!
I would suggest finding a dry cleaner that specializes in leather/fur and see if they can help you out. Getting wrinkles out of a finished product is a bit harder to do, and without knowing what kind of leather it is, I don't want to suggest anything.
The Leather Guy thanks so much for the reply. I appreciate your insight.
@@TheleatherguyOrg im having the same issue i bought a leather jacket second hand it says its genuine leather any tips? I dont have a dry cleaner specialized in that area near me.
I would hope that is not the actual floor carpet as you could melt the fibers if someone decided to do that.
Nope, it a work table with scrap fabric on it to protect the work surface. As we mention in the video, make sure to use a heat-safe surface.
@@TheleatherguyOrg I have seen some try to iron clothes on the carpeted floor and things didn't turn out so well, so I just wanted to warn others that may not know about melting carpet.
@@markharrison1160 oh no! That must have been frustrating for them but I suppose a lesson learned the hard way is still a lesson learned :) Thanks for watching and commenting!
