Masterpiece. My train got delayed today and thank Grace the first thing I did was to 'accept' the delay of the train. There was no mental commentary on how bad the Railways are, why it always happens to 'me', etc. And once there was acceptance, I looked for alternative ways to reach my destination on time. A ride-share with a few fellow travelers. Everything worked out really good. The inside was peaceful and the outside was splendid too as I made some wonderful friends and saved a couple of bucks too. Thanks for such regular pointers, Rupert Spira. I am now able to relate to them.
@RupertSpira, 1. What, exactly, do you mean by "accept your current circumstance?" 2. If I accept my current circumstance, why would I want it to change? 3. What, exactly, do you mean by "express this acceptance in more areas of my life?" What would be the need if I already accept my current circumstances? Isn't the degree to which I am expressing my acceptance part of the circumstance I am accepting?
It's like not taking what's happening seriously but just looking at it and applying it being more than the experience itself. It's hard to put it into words because no words can explain knowing.
The self-located infinity in me (consciousness) salutes the self-located infinity in all of you and all "things". In a single word... Namaste ( नमस्ते ).
There isn't localized consciousness. That is the seeming, never the actuality. There isn't "in" or "out". Consciousness is wholly indivisible, now and forever. Anything else is purely illusory.
I have to accept that the tremendous existential despair that I endure may last the rest of this life, while at the same time working as hard as I can with various techniques and therapies to get rid of the despair. That was how my own healer got through his own period of doubt and terror. In this sense Rupert is a better teacher than Adya, Mooji or Eckhart Tolle, other nonduallists - "just let go", "just accept and it will pass", blah blah blah etc. No, you actually have to apply the _correct techniques._
I pray that you may realize your true nature which is never suffering.....you might have to accept your present circumstances, but that doesn't mean that they can't or won't change 🙏🙏🙏
You don’t have to accept the fact that the existential despair you endure will last the rest of your life. You have to accept that right now you have the tought that “My existential despair might last the rest of my life”. You have to accept the you have that thought right now. Not the content of the thought. You have to accept the present moment (which is the entirety of your life). You don’t have to accept the content of your tought about the future. Only the now exists. “The rest of my life” is just a thought. You don’t experience directly “the rest of your life”. You experience only the now.
@@leonardoschickentanz6825 Very true. Very beautifully said. And something completely unattainable because my ego will fight this truth every single moment. Only people like Alan Watts and Eckhart Tolle can live this way.
Thank you for this; as I understand what is being said, can I surmise this to mean that when I change my thoughts, attitudes, feelings, perceptions, then, since the world is 'mental', I will change the world, my world, to reflect the mental change? Yes?
I loved this whole exchange, but was just a bit confused by when Rupert says to let the change reflect "this understanding".... understanding of What? 🙂
It comes from your ego accepting it is not the doer. You then do what you think you think and feel like doing without an attachment to the outcome as this is the Will of god . Ramesh Balsekar he was very clear about his concepts.
do i need to think of when i was last in my wish fulfilled state of being or do i need to capture that last feeling of fulfillment and carry it wherever i go now? if that makes sense? thanks.

Love what he said about your movement is not escaping a negative but towards the positive. Really resonated with me

so there is self located infinity in me and in you. But we forget that there is self-located infinity in Himself. And His name is Krishna.

Do whatever resonates with you but don't compare somebody with anybody. The sense of separation grows when you do that.

Rupert is much more hands on, that's why I think he is such a wonderful teacher. He doesn't leave someone sitting in the dark.

Such a good one! This was a conflict for myself in the past as well. Thank you for your clear and powerful words, Rupert! ❤
Many thanks, again, Rupert.

The understanding of us being consciousness, us being unconditional love.
How does one go about asking Rupert a question in this format? Does anyone know? Thank you.
