As a non Greek im proud of what this nation has given us Westerners the world we live in. You will notice than the most important buildings of shrines in the Western world have the same front triangle like the Acropolis.

Very nice video, you can visit us here in Macedonia-Greece too! There's Pella and Vergina which are the the Ancient Macedonian capital and the tombs of the Royal house of Macedon icluding the tomb of Philip II and Alexander's son! In the museum you can see the Golden larnax of Philip 2 and his crown along with other beautiful stuff. Not only that, Thessaloniki has many Byzantine monuments of which 13 or so are Unesco World Heritage sites including The Rotunda and the city Walls.

I'm watching this in 2023, 13 years ago, I could not afford internet 😉😁. 14/06/2023. Well I'm going to Athens tomorrow and I'm excited to walk on the footsteps of Socrates.

The DEMOCRACY BORN THERE and actived, during ancient times, THE FATHERS OF WESTERN PHILOSOPHY AS Socrates , Aristotle , Plato , etc. The PARTHENON is among one of the most important monuments of the planet and SYMBOL OF CLASSICAL ARCHITECTURE WORLDWIDE . Athens has FANTASTIC SUBURBS so close to sea and the north. The southeast suburbs are gorgeous with beautiful new buildings , sea like being on an island, SPACIOUS ROADS , BIG STREETS AND CLEAN . NORTHERN SUBURBS are green , clean, with excellent construction and neoclassical buildings. THE CENTER OF ATHENS IS FULL OF ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITES AND HISTORICAL MONUMENTS IN WHICH EVERYBODY CAN BROWSE .

i don't know where are you from but i'm greek and i totally agree with you!! the west is more greek than we are. i mean when we were at war with the ottomans we blended and i'm actually fine with it and our traditional costume is actually the same with the albanian costume. we are a salad of cultures, west, east and balcanian. we should be called ''new greeks'' or something..the plain ''greeks'' has caused only problems to us. (sorry for my english)
