My friend found your channel yesterday. So I looked you up. So cool that someone is still renovating these old beasts.
I own 1 of 2 road legal VR-4's here in Sweden. Both are Saudi import so I have alot of items that our yearly inspection can not test.
Mine is in running condition and heavily modified.
My friends Volvo 940 and my GVR4 has been stored away for a few years now. But hopefully we will get them on the road this coming summer.
Greeting from Sweden! =)

Thanks for watching Kim. Great to hear there are still a few VR4's in the world.
NGK books in Aus specifies thr BPR6ES-11. Don't use them. Use the non -11 plugs. 0.8mm gapped plugs seem to work fine out of the box. 7 heat range suits most street setups . NGK BPR7ES are the part number.
good stuff.
Glad you enjoyed it

what turbo and what boost is it running? Also where in Australia are you guys based? I've got a VR4 as well and I'm located in Perth
We're in Perth. The turbo is a standard VR4 RS unit with a compulsory 34mm inlet air restrictor fitted. Boost is a shade over 1 bar/15PSI from memory.
I’ve got one in Perth too! I met the owner of the car and his son at the first round of the state rally and got a pic of our two vr4’s together. Bit of a fan boy moment.
Hey mate I just bought a vr4 gravel rally car, wanting to put a hydraulic in it but been told I can’t by a few people but you seem to have one. So I guess it can be done, with no tricks just standard plumb up system to the rears? I’m new to 4wd cars only rallied RWD cars. Any advice on it.
We've had a few comments lately on hydraulic handbrakes so we may have to do a dedicated video on it. We did go through the process in another video when we were building a WRX. EP 17 covers the plan: ua-cam.com/video/ZSsRAVR5Gbk/v-deo.html and EP18 covers the build: ua-cam.com/video/tUgGNs1Yy1A/v-deo.html
The set up we used in the WRX is identical to the VR4. Hope that helps.
Out of interest, what did you torque the wheel nuts to?
Wheel nuts are torqued to 110nm.
Silencer head removed from engine into video
Sorry, what do you mean?
