Located just 10 miles south of West Palm Beach & 6 miles north of Boynton Beach this town might be right for you if you like a quieter less congested place to live and looking for neighborhoods with no HOA.

I lived in Lantana in 1997/98 in a really cool old house on the water, built in 1926 , it had a lot of the old charm & fixtures , pecky cypress ceilings, wrought iron chandeliers , a neat yard & courtyard with great mature foliage .
When we quit smoking we played tennis at the tennis courts just around the corner!
A guy named Frenchy ran a restaurant on the way to the bridge, had great breakfasts but I can’t recall the name of the restaurant to save me soul. I really enjoyed living in Lantana & the public beach next to the old Ritz Carton was nice. The dune deck had good breakfast too. Ate lots ice cream at the ice cream store on Hypoluxo.. Going West I really like a restaurant called Rosalitas. Not sure if it’s address is Lantana but the food was scrumptious!
The house sounds amazing,I love old homes, Rosalita's is still there and it's one of her favorite Mexican restaurants
I went to rehab in Lantana at Comprehensive Wellness Center, and it is such a beautiful place! I highly recommend CWC for recovery services for anyone who is struggling with alcoholism or addiction. They have incredible staff and facilitators. I’m from Indiana, and being in Lantana for 3 months was such a wonderful experience. I didn’t want to leave! If I didn’t have a family at home then I would have stayed for sure! I walked by the Barefoot Mailman and the Key Lime House everyday on my way to the beach. We had morning yoga and AA/NA meeting on the beach. There is a huge recovery community in south Florida. I went to church at Church by the Glades in Lake Worth. It was the biggest and most beautiful church I’ve ever been to. I also volunteered at the Palm Beach County Food Bank while I was down there. I love Lantana. It will always hold a special place in my heart.

My son and I have a fishing tradition..leave lake Charleston about 11:15, get low number boarding tix for lady k, order the BEST bacon cheeseburger from Kona Bay Cafe, check out the fisherpeople on the bridge, pick up the food, and picnic style eat while watching the lady k bring in the A.M. catch. Then board for an afternoon of hopefully bent lines. It is the PERFECT day!

What's your thoughts on safety? Neighborhood scout rates it very high in crime.
Thanks for watching Zack. Unfortunately as a Realtor I can't say whether a neighborhood is safe or not, it can be construed as steering which is a violation. I can tell you I've been there many times and never had an issue both day or night and I have clients who I've sold homes for and bought in Lantana and had no problems. Not so many in Lantana because it's a very small city but there's obviously jobs close by.

Do they have a fish market like Cedar Key?

I have a question. I look up areas in Florida that look really nice on videos the sites that rate crime like neighborhood scout will say those areas like the one you are talking about and all of Palm Beach and places like Boca are listed as being the most dangerous neighborhoods in the country. But when I talk to people they ay they are safe. In your opinion are these sites saying that to steer people away to other areas? BTW I dont get my notifications from Instagram so I might not see your reply. I am hoping to remember to look at your reply.
I have no idea about any of those websites and where they get their sources. I have lived all over Palm Beach County for over 28 yrs and only had one incident, I left my van unlocked on Christmas Eve and people stole my Christmas presents that was my stupidity but you can't judge how safe an area is from one person's experience. And no realtor can tell you what area is safe and not safe it's against HUD rules, you have to do your own research.

I've had clients reach out to local police departments in the cities they are looking and ask them about neighborhoods. The police would have a better knowledge about crime statistics than any realtor ever could.
