I have 12 bottles of Argiano Brunello 2015, plus 6 bottles of Capanne Ricci Brunello 2015. Just to give it a try, 6 bottles of Renieri Vineyards Re di Renieri 2015. Renieri also makes a Brunello, but I wanted to try their Re di Renieri. I usually wait at least 10 years from the vintage date to give the wine time for what I call, The Angels' Kiss.
These wines require, nay demand an absolute minimum of 10 years even thinking about approaching. As I've noted on a similar thread 'Iga 27' berates a late '90's or early 2000 Biondi Santi (he /she doesn't know which vintage it was - ??) consumed around '05 and described in the most unflattering terms. He or she bemoans the '$35-$40's dollars spent ( I'll guarantee we are talking U.S. $'s here) did not decant and thinks that pouring a glass and 'having a sip' is somehow a close approximation. I have little doubt that this was within very little time of parting with said monies and hastening home. These wines are amongst the most special 'made' anywhere in the world, 'gifted' is perhaps a more correct word. The year-round work of all those hearts, minds , hands and souls deserve our patience - it is the least that we can and should do to receive the blessing of the
@@hoanpham2757 Why not. I always enjoy sharing wine with a friend. I have recently acquired 12 bottles of Argiano Rosso di Montalcino, 2018. It has been rated as one of the great Rosso di Montalcino vintages. That is a good prediction of the Argiano Brunello di Montalcino 2018. When the Brunello is bottled in late 2022 or 2023, I will be acquiring 12 bottles of that. Maybe more. I intend to be alive and sipping in 2030, and probably longer. If you are ever in the Carson City, Nevada area, please feel free to look me up at the E Bar D Fruit Ranch and Western Art Gallery.
Recently bought Col D'orcia Brunello Di Montalcino 2015 and it has been a very juicy, colorful, and enjoyable wine.
Just ordered some 2015 brunello from il coco, gonna arrive this week 🥳
