The United States has reportedly paused arms supplies to Israel amid a standoff over Benjamin Netanya's planned assault on Rafah. The weaponry shipment which included 907 kg and 227 kg bombs was originally planned for delivery in April. This is a big step back by Washington as the Biden administration has been Israel's top ally in the last six months. Israel is advancing towards the city of Rafah as part of its next target in the war. This has triggered international condemnation for Israel and Prime Minister Netanyahu with several other nations also suspending the supply of weapons to Israel. Given that Israel imports around 68 percent of its weapons from the US, can Netanyahu prevail in the conflict without the support of Washington and the West?
