Job varied a lot, and this is just broad generalization. Nobody gave soldier food, sort of. You had foraging parties, and your party of 8 got your weekly food allowance. Or your party had to procure Our own food. Roman armies were huge when on campaign and if youre marching, first group leaves camp at 5 in the morning and you arrive at next camp location at maybe 2pm, last group leaves first camp at noon and arrives later, like 7pm. Job was mostly building stuff
well this is rigid schedule alright....but its not too different (or maybe even slighty better...) than modern militaries so... its not that bad to join the roman legions....(especially for the fact that they would give you free land at the end of your service...)
Jobs in the military are more like this: 0500ish(depending on how long it takes) get up and get to work 0600: physical training 0730: start work (figure out breakfast on your own) 1200ish: eat lunch if time allows 1700: go home if work is all done so a lot more free time in today's military
They thought about the Roman Empire every day.
As a construction worker that doesn’t seem too bad for a day’s work tbh.
I think you had lots of similarities with a roman soldier on a campaign 😂

Love your videos❤️
The basic & healthy simplicity of their diet stood out. Maybe something for us modern day folk in that?
This sounds EXACTLY what college sports was like on scholarship lol

@ghostsmoke11 *in peace time
It may sound silly, but how did they know what time it was?
P.S. nice video as always!
Sundial during the day and star positions at night is my guess
I would say sun position. You wake up with sun and then do your routine regardless of time.
Might do a vid on that! Thanks for the question!
Is the voice ai?
No, it is my own.
