Brilliant, thank you so much for going through this! Had no idea about the Text Frame being in their own Chain, thank you for highlighting!
It is a little finicky but it works nicely!
I got it to start the visible page number at 3 instead of 4 but it required swapping left and right layouts. This seems to be more of a hack but at least it worked (Dorico v3.5).
why #DORICO does not have an ON-SCREEN PIANO KEYBOARD display while playing the music score (just like MUSESCORE)???
I followed every step until 3:20. At that point I could not access the Flows or Player filters (they were greyed out) without UNLINKING the MA frame chain but then that created its own problems. I ended up just creating system breaks in the individual parts and then printing a pdf and reattaching them in the correct order --- and accepted the fact that I would have duplicate page numbers on each page turn with one of them always on the wrong side. I feel like it would be a lot simpler to have a piano4hands option when you choose instruments that initiates these steps in the video (including linking the number of measures to the corresponding pages/parts) without actually having to do it myself.
Hi - sorry, only just been notified about this comment. Feel free to get in touch on discoverdorico@steinberg.de if you're still having problems with this. We could make a piano 4-hands layout, yes. I'll suggest it, although it might seem quite niche to some.
Will I be able to make in Dorico a layout for 8-handed Piano Duet that will have two systems for Piano Prima and two systems for Piano Secondo?
Yes you can do that by specifying which instruments appear in each music frame.
