I remember when I first found this Channel I was a 15 year old atheist and now at 21 I am a born again Christian. It's always nice to see content creators talk about Christ because even though there will be some that scoff at the video, you might just plant the seed in their minds which will allow them grow spiritually later in their lives.

"Doomscrolling" is an asinine concept that fell out of the anus of popular culture. You don't have to be a slave to popular culture, adopting the terms the media uses and allowing yourself to be shaped by trends; you could just be an invididual and base your view of the world on what's real instead of what the media want to think is real. Here's a personal challange for you. Next time you come across a popular new term which doesn't really make much sense, just ignore it and interact with the real world instead of a version projected over it by the sinister and manipulative media. Don't be their pawn!

@@CarlySBas far as colloquial terms go, Doomscrolling is hardly a dangerous one. If you're going to share this message of avoiding harmful language being shoved in our faces, you should focus on words that cause more damage. Like this return of the Alpha concept. Harmful word and idea, because it's wildly untrue and it influences people's beliefs and behaviors in negative ways. Just for example. Or maybe point out not words, but hyperbole. A lot of people with big platforms get cocky and lazy with the way they speak, and they influence others to behave in an ignorant and obtuse fashion.

12:52 Key point to me. As a young Irish Catholic kid, I learned it as…”forgive us our tresspasses AS WE FORGIVE those who trespass against us…”. I thought of it like I am forgiving others ‘as’ God simultaneously is forgiving me and all others. The realization that we are asking to be forgiven IN THE SAME MANNER as we forgive others was an epiphany. This makes sense not only spiritually, but in the secular world as well; we can (generally) expect from others the same of consideration we give them. You get what you give. Over-posting a bit, but this is a subject more important to me than any kimura or technique.

I think the reason I avoid confrontation is that I feel more comfortable when I get to prepare and plan my strategy for next time and get revenge, rather than acknowledge the humanity in my enemies. I find myself talking myself into why their behavior is unacceptable and I'm fully justified to take things to the next level, because if I let them tell their side of the story, I know I would forgive them. And forgiving them never made me feel better about myself, and that's what I was after.

In Matthew 18:21-22, Peter asks Jesus what the limit of forgiveness to someone who has wronged him is. Peter picks a number he thinks is absurdly high to forgive the same person of the same offense: 7 times. Jesus responds by saying, “No, not seven times; I say seventy times seven times.”
God doesn’t hold a grudge because he knows you inside and out (1 Samuel 16:7). If you truly hate your sin and desire forgiveness, He will give it to you no matter what, and he went so far as to sacrifice himself to death on the cross just so the price of that forgiveness could be payed eternally (John 3:16-17)

Forgiveness is easy. Once you realize that the reason that people do bad things to you is the same reason you do bad things yourself. We don't want to feel that feeling inside of us any longer. It's a mistake. Even if you know what you're doing is wrong before you do it, you only did it because you didn't know of any other way to be. Thats still a mistake. 🙏

Do you think that training and/or competing in martial arts (specifically striking) is a sin/sinful because of the damage you are inflicting onto another person and yourself. If we are made in gods image, is this defacing it in a way? Would love your opinion on this.

I try to be rational and considerate, but I find I cannot forgive people who tried to hurt me or people I love. It doesn't mean I dwell on them or the things they did to me all of the time, but I couldn't consider them as somebody who didn't hurt me and whom I should think of favourably. For example, a person who moved next door to us gave me 12 months of sleep deprivation and caused my mother to appear to age ten years in just one. He stole portions of our life from us. I will never forgive that.

Understand true forgiveness starts with correction of the wrong-doing. it makes not sense to "forgive" someone who hasn't changed their wrong behavior. See Leviticus 19 for example. If you really love your neighbor, you will correct them of their wrong-doing.

The entire human family are the spirit offspring of God- not metaphorically, God the Father is the Father of the spirit inside of your body that is you. We are the same species as God, only now in our infancy.
Jesus Christ is the firstborn spirit child of God the Father, and the only begotten son of God in the flesh. Meaning, Jesus was both spiritually and physically the son of God.

I understand words easily. What I find curious and worrisome is how a person can assert there is a supernatural deity but provide no evidence? Just because the bible claims god is real doesn't make it so. Just because a lot of people believe in something also doesn't make it true. Evidence is the most reliable path to the truth. So far none has been offered to support the belief in god. That should tell us all a lot about god.

I believe that Jesus Christ founded the Catholic Church and we can verify this historically with the writings of the Early Church Fathers, councils, etc. We have the Apostolic tradition and Succesion which can be traced from Christ and His Apostles all the way to the present day. As opposed to the so called (c)hurch of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints which was founded by Joseph Smith.

What Joseph Smith preached was a far off from what was given us by Christ in the beginning.
