I don't think there has ever been a better time to be a niche/small time artist. There are people that have healthy careers based off having a small dedicated audience.
Thaaank you for making a video on jazz as one of the, not only great american art, but as an intellectual and emotional project❤ jazz is my life, im 26 and i from sweden! These are my superheroes all of them, i listen alot jeez😅
Great video. I wish more people would give smaller UA-camrs and artists a chance. A lot of the people I watch and listen to aren’t in the mainstream. The pandemic definitely allowed me to discover more content that appealed to my true interests more compared to a lot of the mainstream stuff I had been consuming before. When I see small channels on UA-cam in my recommended I like to give them a chance because you never know what you’ll learn. That’s why I clicked on your channel back in August. Keep making that fire content man.
The idea of sacrificing many of the material aspects in favor of the pursuit of something I consider valuable has always appealed to me. It seems there are not many great options in this era to do so.
Your missing a big point in my opinion. We seem to live in a world of indifference. No. One really cares about anything. At least not very much. So it's really hard for any little subcultural thing to begin. Because no one really cares
I think we forget about all the sacrifices that people had to undergo to have a unique artistic or ideological viewpoints in the past. I think we expect to wave a magic wand and have thousands of likes, instant access on the platforms. It is kind of like the difference between planting, growing and harvesting your food or going to the grocery store. I have a feeling that we have to relearn how to grow our small niche markets and artistic circles.

Trauma based mind control is the problem. You cared enough to write the comment so come out of your stupor and live your life.
The age of apathy
