I think that was the point. You realize that the people are actually singing to the Doctor at the end. I wouldnt be surprised if we got a reference back to this song close to his regeneration. Just like the song of captivity and freedom towards the end of Tennant.
1963 and Forward we Seen The Doctor Travel to many places were he seen Beautiful Events and Horrible Wars, Face many Monsters and Tyrants some more then once, & Meet many Friends and Aways Lose them in the End but He can't Mourn Them he's Must Move on and Remember them and Keep Running Away in that Blue box for them as the the Mad Doctor he is
We travelled specially from Ireland for this Prom, queued for 8 hrs for Promming Tickets and my wonderful son sang his heart out to this from the Gallery. A beautiful experience.
come on, then. Take mine. Take my memories. But I hope you've got a big appetite, because I have lived a long life and I have seen a few things. I walked away from the last Great Time War. I marked the passing of the Time Lords. I saw the birth of the universe and I watched this time ran out, until nothing remained. Just me! And I've watched universes freeze and creations burn. And I know things. Secrets that must never be told. Knowledge that will make parasite gods blaze. So come on, then. Take it! Take it all, baby! Have it! You have it all!
If I'm being totally honest, I prefer the version in the actual episode. The power behind this song was that it was just Merry, standing up on her own to help The Doctor fight Akhaten. By bringing in the second singer I actually think they ruined the impact of it slightly.

This song is so beautiful, enough to make a God sleep :'(
The Doctor is well more than a TV show, seriously, its a mix of emotion and treasure to me!!
Loved the reprise of this in the Christmas special this year, right before he changes his face. Very touching.
'Tell her that this is the story of Amelia Pond and this is how it ends...'
The bit from "Wake up" is SO going to be my alarm clock!
I have to admit, this song makes me emotional but it is one of the best doctor who songs ever. XD
Someone give that girl an Oscar XD

I was sat behind the choir for this and Ben Foster was singing along so passionately - it was BRILLIANT
This song NEVER fails to give me goosebumps.
As far as I've been able to hear this concert beat the one in 2011...
The best song from the whole of Series 7 without a doubt! I can't wait to hear this on the Series 7 soundtrack! :D

Does anyone know when there will be the soundtrack for season 7?
If anyone was to ask me why I watch Doctor Who, i would show them the scene this music is taken from and say "this is why..." :)
