Love it. I'm a pure Lincoln man.
Beautiful car! My parents had a 1979 Mark V collectors series most beautiful car I have ever seen! It was definalty ahead of it’s time and very expensive for the 70’s
My dad left me a 77 two-door triple blue Town car low miles it's sitting in a garage in Alabama.
I went to the prom in that car in Houston, that 1979. Stuff 3 couples in there with room to go. Funny about the in dash 8 track. I had one like that in my 1968 Mustang, same color, vinyl roof, full loaded all that. The 8 track, I always had to wiggle the thing sometimes...but it would always work. I used to put a piece of paper in the guide rack to keep it rolling. But one day I glued a plastic glider on the side and never had the problem again. It was a Philco 8 track with the stainless steel sliding 8 track door in the console.
I just purchased a 77 Mark V with the same 8 track player, it doesn't work but I'm hoping I can figure out how to fix it. Then I just have to find an 8 track somewhere to test it
Really a classic car a master piece.
Been seeing a few of these lately and all clean as a mofo like this one. My uncle used to have them, got a new one every body style change
Very nice car
THAT is a convincing example!
If you have the money, so little objection to buying it ..
The paintwork looks very real and nice - as well as very convincing: the engine says smoothly "zzzuuum" - meaning perfect condition for a luxury car that is in good condition.
The belt is possibly just a problem with the tape player...it could even be the wrong sized belt if serviced incorrectly...too tight could be a problem as well as too loose. You can play both regular stereo 8 tracks in it as well as the special quadraphonic ones, which are surround sound. Quad 8 tracks have two "programs" instead of four because they use four of the eight "tracks" on the tape at once for all four channels - front left/front right/rear left/rear right vs just left and right (no matter how many speakers there are).
Holy Moses the uss enterprise has landed, 😊😊😊😊
Wasn't there a red strip around the partial vinyl roof?
The Dark Red vinyl wrapover roof band with coach lamps was done in 1979 only, as were the Light Champagne color-keyed turbine spoke wheels. The landau roof on this car was replaced, the moldings are not factory-issue.
All those cars needed was a overdrive gear and I prefer the Mark 3 and then the Mark 4 I don’t like the Mark 5 but do like the Mark 6 I don’t like the Mark 7 but I do like the Mark 8
PAPERWORK time 🎉
Looks good but, the panther platform was better.
