I have to respectfully disagree with the comment at 6:25 that suggests sticking to a domain and company for 3-4 years is necessary for growth. In my opinion, this advice is too rigid and doesn't account for individual circumstances. Many IT professionals with 5-15 years of experience would acknowledge that being in the right place at the right time played a significant role in their success, particularly in India where the industry was still in its early stages. Instead, I believe it's essential to stay adaptable, continually upskill, and be open to reinventing oneself as the landscape changes. While hard work is crucial, luck also plays a role, and blindly following a'stick with one industry' approach can be harmful if it's not the right fit for an individual.

Really? Kolkata? of all places in India? What's there? Daily oppression of people, terror activity, bombing, killing, riots, political parties killing people for not voting for them, rapes, minority appeasement, too much arrogance of god knows what, decaying infrastructure... Industries went out of the state long ago... there is no growth... what does WB even offer except violence?
The gentlemen in the video said that the key to a high package in IT is sticking to one domain gain expertise in it. But my question is what if a fresher gets stuck in domain that they are not liking? This a very common thing in MNCs during mass hiring. Wouldn't it make sense to check out other domains while you are new and young? This the dilemma that I am facing. I would like to hear others opinion
You need to start skilling yourself in the domain that you are interested in while working in your current job to support yourself. Once you feel confident enough you need to switch, mind that your salary would be lower but that’s alright since it’s the beginning. Once you start working in a domain you are interested, trust me you will grow pretty fast.

multitude of factors. For first 45 years we has leftist governemnts that ruled us. 1991 ecvonomic reforms paved they for capitalism. Secondly unlike china which was not colonised for a long time, we were colonised for 800 , not just 200 years. This thing broke the fabric of our society. Fourth we have congress party which ruled for 50 years but didnt have any inclinination towards development.
India despite being a former British colony. literacy rate was 14% in 1947, that means they are simply educated, not necessarily in English but in our native languages. Democracy for India was a curse, because for every small step, a majority of agreement was needed, government was unstable, not always but could change every 5 years. And election every 5 years means, Political parties engage in more welfare activities, vote bank politics than development activities, now also same thing is happening. Then, administration of India is very slow. Like in case of Ahmedabad-Mumbai Bullet train project, it took around 10 years just to do survey, get Clerance from different departments like water, land clearance, ecology wildlife clearance, and then to acquire land. Then, since it was between 2 states, they previous government were from same party, they agreed for this project, then in one state the party changed, and the project was halted, now again both states have same political party and work is in progress. And lastly, India lacked funds. US, and other European countries invested more in Pakistan, with whom they allied until late 2000s. Also, Corrupt nature at many levels in India and here we are today..... Now we have better government in clear majority, so most other political parties cannot oppose much, and hence works happens quicker than before.
Actually India has many people i mean most businesses and hawkers are evading taxes. The GDP methodology used in India is faulty. At least 7 percent of Indians are earning $2400.
Without the american companies, indians wont be getting such high salaries. It is because of the american companies who are doing business in the Indian markets and have direct access to the B2C markets in india. Indians get paid because of these american companies for which they work as a vendor or service-provider and not directly competing in the market along with these companies. There is huge difference in real growth and glorifying service-based work for gaint american companies who already have captured a huge share of the market.
@@parker4406 LOL. i wont be replying if i was a Bot. The Brain Drain problem in india is a real thing.

US is also 10X more expensive
Indian IT engineers are not good anymore because of the AI boom still they are learning but if you compare still lacks far behind china US UK etc
they are not. they are just cheap labour still. I have worked there and majority are just intermediate level. but western companies pays high as per local standard since it's still just 25% cost for them.
That's why most of top tech companies CEO from india😂😂😂
Come to Kolkata the city of joy (chaina town) 🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳
Really? Kolkata? of all places in India? What's there? Daily oppression of people, terror activity, bombing, killing, riots, political parties killing people for not voting for them, rapes, minority appeasement, too much arrogance of god knows what, decaying infrastructure... Industries went out of the state long ago... there is no growth... what does WB even offer except violence?
That uncle is right in the end.
@@InfaredMyth thanks for the input, I am studying and interviewing along with my job, got one offer but couldn't go due to notice period issues😞. It's hard but that one offer gave me confidence. Study along with job is hard. Worst case scenario if I feel that it's not working, I am even prepared to prepare after resigning.
@harshpandey7461 thanks for your input, my current domain is embedded systems program. I feel like it's not my cup of tea, I am more inclined towards traditional full stack Java development.

multitude of factors.
Because before 2014 we didn't had a good government
10% of indians get 2400 USD per month?? in which India is this guy living?

those GDP are official reports.

10% of Indians in fact DO NOT get 2L INR per month.
Maybe he meant 10% of Bangaloreans. I would believe that. But all of India? that's too far. A big chunk of population still makes less than 400 a day.
