Thanks for the unboxing. I just received mine and noticed the lumbar was completely off from the chair. I thought installation is required until I saw this video.

I have this Zody about 10 years now, its a really heavy chair nice and solid metal castors, and metal support mechanism. Pretty good cushioning it's still in good condition - very durable. The downside is the lumbar support is useless it broke off, the thin metal that attaches to the main vertical support is paper thin and not durable, but that ok with me I never needed the lumbar support.

Hey Reggie, I have this chair also - can I ask how the mesh has held up? do you have to be careful without? I treat it like a baby... as I'm afraid I'll 'overstretch' it and won't have the shape return back to normal

@@willd0g the mesh is fine never had any sags or wrinkles still in tension, it is actually quite durable considering how long I had it. I do recline on it but I am not the type that leans on the mesh for long periods whilst working.

How do you find the back support in the mesh? Some people in the video mention you have to lean back, that it's not so supportive - your thoughts?

@@willd0g The mesh has held up pretty well - it doesn't sag at all, and I lean on it quite a bit while sitting. There are a few worn places now but overall it's OK. My biggest gripe is that it catches so much dust and is hard to keep clean. I would prefer to have a non-mesh back next time.

Not having a solid lumbar support system is massive deal breaker for me, the whole point of ergonomic chairs is to provide high quality and excellent back support with no compromises. Otherwise, the premium price they charge is totally ridiculous.

i have both the Zody(older model) and the leapv2. I feel WAY WAY better in the Zody than the leap. the comfort of the seat is very great.. the leapv2 seat isn't comfortable for me at all. I also had the gesture ( that was worse. i returned it ). If you are big and tall, the zody is your chair if you don't want to get the executive chairs (serta ).. Sometimes youtube reviews can be misleading, you've got to try the chair for yourself and don't let people's reviews dictate your decisions ( we're all individuals ) - that's the mistake I made on the leapv2

I have this chair, bought it about 2011. The tag hanging from the front of the seat (sewn into the edge) is terrible and I cut it off and thew it away. After 2 days the lumbar support broke off and when I called, they wanted info off the tag that I had cut off. Was so annoyed to have a broken, un-returnable chair from day 2.. I've had to keep it and it's been pretty good and has been OK for my lower back even without the lumbar support (although I did just stick it back in, but it is broke.) The cons: It is heavy to drag around on the (low) pile carpet. The arm rests eventually gave out a year ago and I bought some fake arms to put on. The seat and the back have a few worn places. I think my biggest complaint is that the mesh and the stuff in the back are huge dust catchers and the mesh is impossible to get properly clean. I try to vacuum, use a wet rag, etc. It always looks dusty and unclean. The up/down mechanism is wearing out and goes through periods of dropping down. Then it seems to go away for awhile. In all, expect about 10 years of heavy use.

Such a shame this company doesn't have a showroom in the UK for customers to test it out. Even the retailers which sell this chair don't have any physical stores, meaning that you're going to lose money if you purchase this online and have any issues with it.

This chair is complete disappointing trash. No way should this be ranked as A tier. The back offers no support and forces you to lean back uncomfortably the only other option is to lean even further back. Definitely going to return it. I will say the seat cushion is fantastic but that’s of little saving grace.
