What a crazy world we live in that even expressing anger and disgust for the poisonous political ideology that those young girls were killed for has become a taboo subject. Thank you Morrissey for yet again being willing to put your head above the parapet.

Wait - who told you that criticizing ISIS is a taboo? It's really not!

@@davemaclean5937 It certainly is a taboo to criticize any aspect of Islam, including Islamicism and that is why horrific events such as the Manchester Arena bombing are quickly brushed under the carpet and people are fed trite sentiments telling them not to be angry about it. The media has very quickly moved on from it, so much so that nobody you know even knows the name of the bomber.

@@MrRhurbarb Ah mate you’re absolutely allowed to criticise terrorism. You won’t get in trouble for it. I’m not sure who told you that you can’t. But they’re wrong.
In terms of not knowing his name, I don’t think many people would know names
Of 9/11 hijackers without looking it up.
He got jailed for life. His brother got jailed for 55 years. Justice served. Not sure what more people want. Massive news story at the time for a while then things slowly move on.

@@davemaclean5937 People want freedom. They want the freedom to be able to talk about controversial subjects without the media and other elites coming down on them. This is a suppressed song. You know that, right? You can't buy it. There is an organized attempt in the music industry to make Moz, and Van--for other reasons--, persona non grata. In Moz's case, it has something to do with his tentative support for the For Britain Party, a group utterly demonized by the media, categorically labelled racist when it was not, but which dared to say the problem was not just radical Islamism, but Islam generally, and too-lenient immigration policy. That party has now disbanded, unable to win support enough for an electoral victory, and worried about violence against its leaders after media outlet after media outlet slandered it as pro-hatred, essentially inviting self-styled anti-racists to attack. Not sure if I would have ever voted for it were I British, as I didn't like their anti-Halal stand, but I was in Britain in 2019, and I saw the shameful police fliers on the walls of Oxford streets inviting people to report hate-crime wrong-think statements. And now we do see the results--the clamp-down on speech has gone way beyond its original race, Islam, and LGTBQ origin-points. You were censored for two years, and really still are, on all issues Covid-related. The progressivists refused to police their ranks, bullies and toadies pushed into leadership everywhere, the conservatives went corrupt, and....what next? No justice will be served until a good 40-60% of the present elites have been fired outright. Your head is in the sand, sir. The new despots came down on the likes of Moz and Van to control those just beginning their careers. It is a new form of totalitarianism, and you are making excuses for it, whether you understand the situation or not. See my substack writings for PostModernConservative, including the piece on this brave and necessary song.

Lest we not forget the names Myra Hindley and Salman Abedi for these Manchester atrocities
