Surprisingly functional. They've got so much of the necessary stuff all tucked away. Got the nice cosy bed under cover. Windows etc! Good job.

Pretty cool build! Many surprises, like refrigerator door on the inside, pull out kitchen, cover on air conditioner, big bed, large water tank. I love it. I think he could add a screened in porch pretty easy on the kitchen side of the camper. This could possibly turn into a business.

Correct, there is not a dedicated bathroom just like other trailers this size

What a couple! What a build! I was moved to write when your wife came around the corner. Just the way you greeted her and brought her into the presentation. Rehearsed or spontaneous, it worked! I just started smiling, thinking of the two of you having a ball putting it together and then enjoying it on your travels.
It doesn't have everything I would want, but it has a lot of features you don't see offered anywhere else, that I really like. I really like the extra length, and your fridge slider. You said you wanted to make coffee inside in the morning. Does that mean you access your stove from inside, and the bed folds away or something? You gain convenience and ease with your kitchen and fridge on sliders.
Maybe I need to watch again. You mentioned coffee without going outside, when you were showing the refrigerator, but I didn't catch your coffee setup. I do see you using the extra length of the cabin for enough counter space for a coffee making setup.
I admire your use of materials, I don't think I'd go with those materials, because I'll be buying one already made, and I don't have the skills to maintain, much less repair a lot of the stuff you used. But for YOU, it's all stuff you're confident you can maintain and repair. That rubber roof WILL wear out. But somebody with eyeballs on it will pick up on it and do something about it before it ever comes close to damaging any of the wood. I'm a guy who might forget to check.
About the only other thing I'd do different is I'd want more heating options for fall-winter-spring camping. Your national parks countertop map would more likely be a national forests map, for me. Most of the time I don't need 4 wheel drive, but most of my trips entail some 4-wheeling at or near my destination, so I'm a little closer to off-road than you.

Wow!! This is absolutely beautiful - clever design & also personalized (love the Alien references - in 1979 I was in Washington DC & went 3 times to see Alien). Gorgeous!

Another great DIY job my friend this is why I encourage people make your own don't spend $30,000 or no dumb camper trailer make your own for quarter of the price mines made out of wood and mine's in the process of almost being done I can't wait to finish my camper trailer myself which cost me Pennies on the dollar compared to pain $30,000 from a manufacturer which is very light and weak mine is heavier but strong and will hold the ground because of the weight hell yeah.. not to mention mine is a high top DIY high top which I did myself of course it's not finished yet to go with my camper van which I did myself DIY is the way to go guys DIY rocks..

WOW! Love it. What a lovely couple! Their union must have been made in heaven given their talent, skills, and knowledge. Their "camper" is an art piece, in my opinion. Beautiful, and functional. I enjoyed the ease with which he was able to show the different compartments, and their use. Clearly, an excellent, and well thought out design.
My only disappointment was not meeting their dog! I wish them happy, fun, and safe travels, and success with their future creations.

Love this idea. Definitely did your due diligence. Only thing I saw that I was wondering about, seems like your concerned about security and saw your exterior hinges on your doors. Since already built, I'd change the fasteners out with security torx style. That way not every degenerate with a Phillips can feel froggy. Just being "that guy" lol love the build and the sourcing of parts. Love the build man, mad respect!!
Btw, I'm designing a big squaredrop based off a 18ft tandom boat trailer. So I really like your ideas, thank you for helping out with my design.

They are a good combo
I think I would put a 1 inch thick foam rubber mat over that linoleum to protect your knees and it will help add additional warmth.

I loved it! It is a beautifully designed trailer, and I lived in Manahawkin for 20 years. I keep a very small 12nV cooler inside my DIY for the same reasons.

Lots of cool features. Love the pull-out kitchen. I just don't understand why, if you're building something completely from scratch, that you wouldn't make it tall enough to at least sit upright in bed.
