I joined your patreon so I can watch your step by step tutorials. At the beginning of the pandemic, I spent my stimulus check on ALL THE THINGS. pan pastels, watercolor pencils, lots of barbies from goodwill, paints, brushes, everything. Then I just got overwhelmed and just stopped. But I keep watching the videos and I'm hoping that at some point I'll regain that spark of excitement I had at the beginning. Also, I can't see shit either. I bought a magnifying glass with a light to go on my desk which helps.
Oh Tracey I understand. I struggle too... the pandemic really took the wind out of our sails. I hope the spark will come back. Just take it one step at a time and I am always here for support. 😘
Ah the eyesight thing, such a pain lol. I’ve been using Jane Davenport pastels for a while now, I have a tiny work area so the size is great. I also use pan pastels for larger areas, then the JD ones for the smaller ones. I like having access to a large selection of colours, especially as I only need small amounts. As you say, I would not use them on there own but combine with PP. I am cautious about the health warning though, so I am careful not to get any on my skin or inhale any of the dust.
Oh I didn't know there were health warnings. Will look that up. Thank you for the heads-up! And yes, recording a video through a magnifying lens is not gonna happen. And Pans are amazing. So yes, in combination they are great.
@@LaurieLeighArt Im allergic to nearly everything to do with art dolls so i check the small print. The warning is on the back of the packaging. If you want i can send a photo on Instagram x
Hi! I have 2 questions. First of all, what are those tiny white brush thingy's and where do you get them? Second, do you think the Jane pastels would work better for Monster high repaints because of their skin tones are more colorful and not all have "natural' skin tones? Sorry, 3 question's!
Hi Rae! I will link them here. I get them on Amazon. And I will do a test on Monster High but I expect the same results. They will work. But not as good as PanPastels. Xoxo
That's the smallest brush I've ever seen! Sorry, but I had to laugh when you said "I can't see sh*t!" I say that at least 20 times a day! I'll most likely be joining your Patreon soon. Take care! 😊
Great video. What sculpt is the model please?
Thank you. That is a Tonner Matt head. 😀
Laurie Leigh Art He looks amazing and nothing like the original! Love your work💕
Thank you so much Angie!! I'll do something with him eventually! 😄

I see I am right with my Pan Pastels. The brush is interesting! I need to check if I can get it here in Germany too.
Yes that brush is tiny. Pans are perfect. These are just extra but not really needed.
Omg that tiny brush! Wow! Awesome as always. You have the coolest stuff and I always learn so much from your videos. :-)
