I coach defense on an eighth team and I always install a zone coverage first. It can be a struggle at times especially getting the players to be disciplined about read steps. But I always like zone because it keeps the DBs facing the line of scrimmage which allows them more opportunity to contribute run support.
i just started playing corner at my new school for summer workouts and i’m noticing i’m getting more comfortable at the position, i just need some pointers on how to become elite at it all to become the best corner on my team
I’m a CB and are really struggling with understanding what each term means and whether or not I should play man or allow the receiver to go into my safety/other CB’s zone
as a corner i think zone is definitely where it’s at without a doubt

Understandable. In time, you will find ways to attack the run in man by clogging up all the rush lanes with defenders

Can’t wait for this!!!! 🎉🎉🎉

What’s your thoughts on Marlon Humphrey ? As a corner ? I think he doesn’t get the credit he deserves enough
I would agree. He's a solid corner that does everything well.
@@GridironStuds thanks Coach, I love your feedback and analysis on this great game we have
Itd not that its hard it scary because u can't see your man and when u have someone run a short route its a urge to pick it up so its very disciplined
