My pleasure 💕🥰. I usually do too. So the best thing is to use an industrial sewing machine needle on it when sewing stretchy fabrics. Before I found out about this, I used candle or paper to place on the sewing lines.

Thanks for this tutorial. What is it’s a bandless skirt how do I turn the top with this lining method ?
My pleasure 😇….. You’ll have to open the side seam on the lining side a little so that you can go into the skirt and close the top. After that, use hemming gum to iron close the small opening or top stitch to close the opening

Please How did you told the down of the skirt?I watched it so many times but still dont get how the lining came one inches above the material
I cut the lining 2 inches shorter than the main fabric of the skirt that’s why it’s shorter.

My pleasure sis.... I had that issue once. It was the gear that had worn out. The technician had to change the entire gear. Let a technician look at it 👌🏽

Please how do you run a gathered stiches on your sewing machine, this one is just as mine.
Hi hi…. Thank you. I increase the stitch size to 5, run two lines on the seam allowance and the pull the thread gradually 👌🏽. Although, you can get a gathers foot to save you the stress

😊 thanks. All you need to do it open up the seam from the lining side and turn it out. However, if it’s the waist that is big, you’ll need to remove the band.
Please can it be done on a princess dart bustier joined to a skirt and has a turn up at the down side of the skirt just like this your skirt has at the down side. If yes, please how?
Yes it can….. you’ll have to sew the main fabric separate from the lining for it to work. I’ll check if I have a video for that

Nice sewing technics ma'am, but you didn't let me know if the lining shouldn't be up to the fabric. Also, how did you sew the lining together with the fabric cuz this part is very confusing. Looking at what u did here so far ma'am, the lining is shorter than the fabric. And you said that we are going to hem the lower part of the lining together with the fabric. Did you hem the lining seprately, cuz this part is so confusing.

The lining is two inches shorter than the main fabric. Also there’s a half inch hemming on the lower part and yes the hemming is together with the main fabric. Since the main fabric is longer, once you turn it out to the right side, the excess length on the main fabric will go in towards the lining side. Hopefully this is understandable 🤞

What do u have to measure out before applying zip
I’m not sure I understand what you mean. Do you mean the zipper allowance, if yes…. I use 1 inch then apply my zip at that point

Usually when I have a slit, I would first attach the lining to the main skirt on the zip side, using the same technique in the video, but I’ll leave a one inch space towards the end of the slit unstitched. Then I’ll join the lower side of the skirt together before closing up the one inch space I left. That space will help for the turning of the lower side of the skirt.
Once I’m done with that I’ll then use a band to close up the skirt.
I’ll work on putting out a slit tutorial if this explanation isn’t very clear. Let me know if it’s still confuses you🤗💕

Hi, can I apply this technique to a maxi skirt (where the fabric is see-through and requires a lining), without making it look messy?
For a maxi skirt, yes you can. But since it’s see through and the lining won’t get to the full length, you can apply this technique to the zip area and then close with a band.

Cotton lining.... if you are in Nigeria, they call it original China lining in the market
