Patty should’ve been Barry’s main love interest or at least Iris should’ve been written as Patty’s character and Flashpoint should’ve been a season long
The show always had cheesy writing but the first seasons had fleshed out terrifying villains and characters that you care about and had their own fleshed out stories

It's not that Iris has no qualifications whatsoever, that's a bad faith argument. As a journalist, Iris definitely has some insight that could be beneficial in a team enviornment, but I agree that doesn't change the fact that assigning her as a leader whom you must ask permission for is a nonsensical story choice.
her qualifications are great for investigating, and noticing smaller details, like in the season 4 premiere when she noticed peekaboo teleporting in a pattern

You're right about Flashpoint. I wish they could have extended the alternate timeline to be 6 episodes long so that we can have a 7th episode that explores the impact and teases the big-bad and it immediately leads into the crossover which would have been more impactful for the team.
The biggest problem was with how the writers wasted their characters and the chemistry between them, by the later seasons the Wells are no longer a vital part of the team thanks to their genius but for their funny gimmicks, Caitlin storylines default to either dead love interest or the same damn identity crisis every time, and when that doesnt work they "kill her off". Cisco became the equivalent of Tyrion in GOT (previously a great character but boiled down to the most popular traits of funny and moral). Worst of all was Iris, a character who was great in the first two seasons became this weird amalgamation of the stereotypical love interest and a mary sue, they did Candace Patton so dirty (same with the rest of the cast, poor Tom Cavanaugh)
Not to mention the BS no killing rule that just popped into existence, they only spared Thawne in season 1 because Barry needed a confession and when it came to it, Eddie sacrificed himself to kill Thawne. Barry kills Sand Demon AND Atom Smasher in season 2 but he can't kill zoom? Like when Frost had him Frozen Barry could have easily walked over and phased his hand into Zoom's skull, but no instead they have to get the time wraiths to do their job for them
With killer frost (s3) the change to frost is explained by Caitlin’s body changing as she uses her powers, this change is what let’s frost take over but also means that Caitlin can’t use frost’s powers without becoming frost.

His entire motive was to change the timeline so that the Flash never existed so that he could live in a future where the Flash was never born and he could be the only speedster in the world.

In season five everyone’s kept getting their ass kicked by cicada because he was negating their powers. Now Barry is friends with Oliver queen. Who do I have to remind you? The first season I watched it on Netflix back in 2015 and after the pilot episode I got hooked. Going forward I had to watch every episode when it came out live. Season one it's still the best season in my opinion.
bro i love how if a speedster gets knocked down once by a sucker pucnh they cant just get back up at superspeed they just watch the villain get up and themselves fail to get up in NORMAL TIME while the villain is pointing a gun at them which they should be able to dodge anyways

I agree with a lot of what you said. Grodd generally isn't a big villain, which is why I didn't bring him up, and since he only shows up for one more episode in season 6, I don't have anything to say about him unfortunately. I agree with a lot of what you said though. Season 4 does have a few standout moments. Flashtime was a great episode, although it does have a couple issues that I'll mention in part 2. Anyways, part 2 will be seasons 6-8, and part 3 will be season 9.

I was glad that they adapted Grodd's speed, even if it was very short lived. I agree that most speedster costumes for women are mediocre, especially the masks. Jesse, Iris, Trajectory, and Nora all had basically the same mask.

Superheroes have stories like that sometimes where they question whether 1 life over many. 52:30 People need to get off Iris's back. She's his wife and the mother of his children. They have to have kids in the future. If they killed her for even 1 season, they'd have to come up with ways to bring her back... invalidating any of this, so Well's sacrifice made sense. Iris West is Barry's Lois Lane.

@@GingerAls Okay. CW has 25 episodes to fill. Chloe Sullivan and Lana Lang all had their own save me storylines... multiple times during Smallville. I can't remember if they had any for Lois since she's more independent and she came on later seasons that I fell off of.
okay, I can't judge the quality of those as I haven't watched them. The writers could've filled the 23 episodes with a doomsday plot, or done anything else. they didn't have to make a season where 14/23 episodes are about saving 1 life
I think that flashpoint should’ve taken place over an ENTIRE season with flash and reverse flash traveling back in time to the mother’s death and fighting eachother at the end of the season, and THEN do savitar in season 4.. would’ve been so much better

The flash started going off the rails during the Devoe arc in season 4.1:16:40 Clifford Devoe basically wanted to bring the world back to the Stone Age using technology how ironic
The Flash could fix half its problem just by making one change in the rule. "A speedster remains a normal human until they tap into the speed force that's when their body becomes supercharged" This adds an actual reason for them being caught by surprise, non speedsters being an actual threat. This makes it so the speedsters aren't just always one step ahead. At normal speed they go back to their normal human reflex so when taken by surprise they don't have the time to react fast enough.
IMO non-speedster big bad villains don’t work cause Barry could just relocate them so many times and there are just too many loopholes. I mean I guess you can’t really relocate King Shark or Grodd so they could have been big bads (which would have been interesting)
I completely agree. That was my point with analyzing the main fights in seasons 4 and 5. Just because they have powers, it doesn't mean they stand any chance against Barry

they can work, but I think they work better with shorter storylines. Bloodwork was amazing because Barry caught him in a realistic time frame, and he was just an awesome villain. His big form also makes it so that Barry can't easily relocate him. Cicada's arc would've been better if they actually caught him in episode 8
Also i like to point out team flash wanted him to go back in time to save his mom in season 2 and when he does in season 3 and they find out they get pissed
thats true. Although it is more understandable cause the first time, they all knew he was going to, and they accepted it. When he actually went through with it, he didn't tell anyone, and he ended up changing everyone's lives after backtracking on the decision. I think they did have a right to be upset with him during season 3.
My biggest problem with season 1 is that: He (Barry) stops to talk to all villains and let’s his as* get kicked and let them escap instead of knocking them out instantly. Watch the video from Madvocate to understand what I mean. The Flash is insufferably inocient or something like that

I also wanted to mention the biggest plot hole in The Flash. Why is it in every season, some magical technology is too fast for Barry. That doesn’t even make sense. Devoe’s magical chair, just run faster than he can click the button. Eva’s gauntlet’s move faster than she can react. Barry you run faster than any human can react.
I never understood that with Cicada's fighting ability why they never once called on Oliver, Diggle, Sarah, or any of the many bad a$$es from Arrow that could have easily taken him down or at least trained them how to throw an "eff'n" punch.

Him talking to speedsters is acceptable because they’re power equals and could hurt him if he gets close. But the talking to non speedster villains who he lets escape is criminal
I was originally going to get into it more, but having a full rewrite felt like it was too much. For season 3, I think that the best course of action would've been 9 episodes in flashpoint, and then the back half of the season would deal with the repercussions.
@@GingerAls I was thinking that too but since Barry recklessness affected more than his show i think having be for the entire season basically being in the same position as season 1 thawne having to come up with a way to come home while dealing with the villain of the week and having his speed decreased with each episode would be amazing direction the show could have gone in

yeah, that's also a good way to do it. I was thinking more so, if you want to keep the season structured mostly the same, then have flashpoint as 9 episodes, and then the remaining episodes can showcase the flashpoint metas coming back, and then savitar shows up afterwards. But, if you want to go for a whole different route, flashpoint definitely can last the whole season
Went over pretty much every problem I had with seasons 3-5 of the Flash, gotta subscribe now and cant wait for part 2 because it really does get worse.

@@GingerAls yea i agree, tbh i stopped at season 3, i own all three seasons on bluray and iv watched them all atleast twice, tbh even tho each season has its own problems and holes. The first three had the acting, story, tone and other factors that make the few moments of stupidity and the few plot contrivances a non-factor, but the later seasons dont have that and so it cant cover the one or two iffy moments and they keep adding more.

I am a big fan of season 1 I feel like this is the best season by far even though season two come to the close second it’s just season 1 has way more steaks to it and consequences, and mystery, something I wish the show kept more consistent throughout the years I feel like season four was a major departure from the dark and shocking tone of the show, bc after season 3 it becomes way more parent that they want to focus more on comedy then the darker aspects, and sure there are dark episodes in season 4 but the mystery and suspense is gone all laid out by very ridiculous humor that in my opinion, I really don’t like I mean season 6 and 7 Got Way better, but it never got to levels of season 1, and the show never really had an interesting villain since the ending of season 3 I feel like the only reason I’m watching the show now is because I like the actor grant Gustin and I just wanna see how it wraps up
I feel like the tonal shift, and the non speedster villains definitely impacted the show's quality. the tone was definitely at its best in seasons 1 and 2. I think 6 recovered it, but then it was quickly lost again
I know the majority of the suit was meant to be sleeker and more comfortable, but the helmet wasn't it. I've also heard that they just had a hard time replacing the thick leather cowl they were using before, which is why the helmet was made initially
For me personally, I loved season 3. Especially Savitar, Savitar’s voice was chilling and felt godly. I loved the suspense of how it felt like every episode iris was closer to death. The season has its flaws, but savitar was my favorite villain. Killing iris making Barry create savitar. Wow

Beyond the timeline stuff, Savitar being a clone of Barry makes no sense why he would go evil. Yeah he wouldn't exist if Iris dies, but would be so go far into the dark that he kills his soulmate?
The part about knocking out Zoom is kinda tricky...remember, one of the core weaknesses of a speedster is cold...he gets hit by Killer Frost by accident he just made matters worse. Secondly Zoom didn't look like he was stuck there just slowed down a little. Keyword: a little. Zoom could have easily grabbed Barry instead and knocked him out instead and that would have screwed everyone else because he's their ride out of there. If he's caught they're doomed. So that one I kinda understand. As for the Parr in star labs...yeah I have to agree with you on that one...then again, what was stopping Zoom from breaking out of the pipeline if he broke out of those cuffs? I mean...Godspeed does this too...as for the part at CCPD...yeah I can't defend Barry there, there was nothing stopping him from kicking Zoom's ass this time.
The Flash What would happen if the show was actually like the comics. I know that it was like the comics but they changed things. They changed a couple things like post crisis, Barry’s mom was dead and the dad went to jail, Wally was the flash while Barry was dead for a decade though I don’t remember if they brought him back in darkest nights? Cisco and Caitlin would still exist though they probably used them for the show since it would be fun even for the comics, Vibe and Flash would only meet like for meetings and maybe a couple missions and that’s it. They probably would have made the flash like probably a couple years like late 20’s or early 30’s. With Wally, he might be the protagonist with Linda and his friends and stuff.

Random little thing, you mention how Barry never uses the tachyon device again. You’re forgetting that they manage to design a smaller one that fits within his little flash symbol, and he’s has it in all his suits since. I personally think a larger device he has to strap to his chest is cooler, but it isn’t a plot hole
is it said that he has it in every other suit? In season 5 they show Cisco putting it on Barry's suit when trying to send Nora home. They also never had any vfx to signify the use of the tachyon device. The only times it's mentioned/used again is: season 5 to send Nora home, season 6 to enter the speed force, and season 7 to collect particles

they would've taken it out of the suit when they took barry's speed in episode 18. and if he still had it, he should've just used it against zoom and savitar... there was never any indication that he was still using it

So we just have to assume it was never removed from that logo and possibly even later ones. They would have no reason to stop using it.

Here's my headcanon for a few of the plot holes: 1. I think the only way to properly stabilize the wormhole at the end of s1 is to let Thawne go to the future and prevent the wormhole from becoming a black hole. That's why when Barry stopped Thawne the entire ordeal happened. And Thawne also wouldn't want there to be a black hole because without present, future can't exist. So both Barry and Thawne had to time travel. 2. It isn't even headcanon, about the 1st problem of s4 reason Wally couldn't react to peek a boo is because he hasn't activated speed force at that point. 3. About team Flash not believing Flash on Devoe speculation, yes there has been times when Barrys intuition was right, but there also has been times when it was wrong. You can't expect the team to blindly follow him. And when Barry did confirm Devoe was bad, the team came around immediately. 4. You can't run Devoe to the pipe, He alerdy has plan for it and it would break the human rights as Devoe would not get a trial and team Flash has no proof against Devoe. 5. Devoe dosent hate technology, he hates how people uses it. 6. If Barry moves the body around he'll plant more evidence on the body and he'll have to live with the moral guilt of hiding a dead body. Not very heroic. Also also, Devoe probably have a backup plan. 7. Before Barry fights Devoe he always has an epic run beforehand, so the actual fight being not a fight dosent take away too much. Plus this is the season where we see most of Flash and it's the season with best VFX.
But they didn't say that. they said there's 1 minute 52 seconds for Barry to go back, and for Thawne to go home. The wormhole becomes unstable if it stays open for too long, not if Thawne doesn't go home
33:49 s3 does address this though. As the timeline changes catch up with Barry, he begins losing his speed. The reason Thawne loses it faster is likely because his speed is not the Speed Force itself, but a perversion of it that he created in a specific context (the Speed Force is an elemental part of the universe, but the Negative Speed Force is entirely artificial)
He wasnt losing his speed, he was losing his memories. Along with that, he forgets how to use his speed. There was nothing indicating that Barry was losing his speed, it was indicating that eventually, he wouldnt know about ever having it
Well they have to have the conflict with the big bad go throughout the entire season. When you have a hero with exceptional powers, that means that he either can’t use his full abilities, has to let the big bad go, make stupid decisions on how to deal with threat, be incredibly naive, or be distracted. All of these make the hero incompetent, and when he is supposed to be intelligent and one of the greatest, there is a problem. Splitting the season up by multiple ‘graphic novels’, with no more than 8 episodes each, should in theory fix this issue.
yes, exactly. season 6 worked really well because of this. even if you don't like the mirror monarch story, bloodwork was top tier, and the 8 episode arc was perfect. these graphic novel stories would work so well if they just wrote the show better

What i dont get and would have been easier, have cisco let jesse, wally, jay and other heroic speedsters know they need an evil speedster to trap in the speedforce to let barry out. Hell maybe accelerated man from earth 19 could he like "gypsy told me you needed an evil speedster, heres a speedster breacher we captured and he needs to he locked up here here is" hell it would have been cool to see him again and his costume after he has like one short cameo in season 3. Like he could he like "im giving you this evil speedster but you have to help capture a breacher or i track you down and kill you" That could set up a later season 4 episode where maybe they are just about to make a big revelation about devoes plan but have no choice but to drop it for the episode to capture a breacher and give him to gypsy.
I have the answer to 24:22 / the multiverse plot hole. Originally, Zoom was supposed to be Earth-2 Barry Allen, played by Grant Gustin and Teddy Sears would've been the actual real Jay Garrick. It wasn't until mid-way through writing the season that the writers decided to make Teddy Sears as Hunter Zolomon. So originally, everything Teddy Sears Jay told Barry in 2x02 was true, and the Man in the Iron Mask was a later addition, one could assume that Zoom captured him after the Singularity dragged Jay to Earth-1. Whether or not Earth-2 Jay was going to die at all in the original plan for S2 is unknown to the public but the Man in the Iron Mask was ultimately going to be revealed as... Earth-3 Jay Garrick, played by Rick Cosnett, the actor who plays Eddie Thawne. Of course, plans change and we got what we ultimately got in the final product.

Speed mirages do not work like that it is when you run back and forth creating two speed mirages if your self so he could exist in two places at once while still being functional
In season 1, when Thawne shows Cisco his speed mirage, only one of them was moving. The afterimage explanation says that its just an image rather than something that can move. It also would be a lot harder to have a full conversation with the police, and have a full fight with Barry at the same time

While watching the season 3 section, you mention that The Rival could take Savitar's place. I think The Rival is connected to the Negative Speed Force instead of the Speed Force because of his red lightning. So maybe that's why he can't take Savitar's place? I'm not sure if he has a Negative Speed Force connection or if that'd prevent him from taking Savitar's place. Just curious if you think that's a possibility as to why (I am sure the writers did not think of that while writing the season)

Patty was great, although I think that with the right material, Iris is a great match for Barry. The first two seasons were great at showing that, but then the writers stopped trying
One thing that doesn’t make sense is the speedforce prison savitar said future Barry created the prison to trap him but iris shot savitar and then he got erased which means he didn’t live long enough to kill iris which means Barry doesn’t make the speedforce prison to trap him in the future so why is it still around if the timeline that it was made in doesn’t exist.
The entire time loop presented in season 3 makes no sense. Savitar has to exist to make Savitar, and lead Barry to make the prison to trap Savitar... who then avoids being trapped and tries to change the timeline. Savitar knows he fails, and he directly talks to Barry about the dangers of time travel, so it's dumb that he tries to change time again. Also, Savitar is created because of Flashpoint, but Savitar says that Flashpoint gave him the idea to put Wally into the speed force, which is very confusing since Flashpoint made Savitar and Kid Flash.

I think it’s this Earth X thawne runs away - gets arrested and captured by a team of heroes (could be a version of the league locking Thawne up for Barry) - this version is the season 5,6,7 and 8 versions. The one who becomes negative flash It’s hard to say exactly where Earth X thawne originated from, the Thawne from legends is the one that went through flashpoint. But earth X thawne just kinda shows up

so, the explanation is that Zoom made a time remnant. He isnt fast enough to speed mirage between 2 worlds. The time remnant logic is a bit messy, but essentially, he pulled another version himself out of an alternate past, which is why there were 2 of him doing things at the same time.
I feel like for savitar should’ve have had the future flash storyline from the new 52 which instead of a time remenant of Barry is just an alternate insane version of Barry, and instead of the speed force prison is just a bleed that was caused by flashpoint which savitar believes by sacrificing this version of Barry will heal up the speed force
Was there a reason why marlize told team flash that even if they brought team arrow, the legends, supergirl, devoe would still beat them. That makes no sense since if they brought supergirl, she would beat him with ease since she is super strong but the legends would beat him easily too. It's not that Iris has no qualifications whatsoever, that's a bad faith argument. As a journalist, Iris definitely has some insight that could be beneficial in a team enviornment, but I agree that doesn't change the fact that assigning her as a leader whom you must ask permission for is a nonsensical story choice.

You're right about Flashpoint. I wish they could have extended the alternate timeline to be 6 episodes long so that we can have a 7th episode that explores the impact and teases the big-bad and it immediately leads into the crossover which would have been more impactful for the team.
The biggest problem was with how the writers wasted their characters and the chemistry between them, by the later seasons the Wells are no longer a vital part of the team thanks to their genius but for their funny gimmicks, Caitlin storylines default to either dead love interest or the same damn identity crisis every time, and when that doesnt work they "kill her off". Cisco became the equivalent of Tyrion in GOT (previously a great character but boiled down to the most popular traits of funny and moral). Worst of all was Iris, a character who was great in the first two seasons became this weird amalgamation of the stereotypical love interest and a mary sue, they did Candace Patton so dirty (same with the rest of the cast, poor Tom Cavanaugh)
Not to mention the BS no killing rule that just popped into existence, they only spared Thawne in season 1 because Barry needed a confession and when it came to it, Eddie sacrificed himself to kill Thawne. Barry kills Sand Demon AND Atom Smasher in season 2 but he can't kill zoom? Like when Frost had him Frozen Barry could have easily walked over and phased his hand into Zoom's skull, but no instead they have to get the time wraiths to do their job for them
With killer frost (s3) the change to frost is explained by Caitlin’s body changing as she uses her powers, this change is what let’s frost take over but also means that Caitlin can’t use frost’s powers without becoming frost.

In hindsight the reverse flash is the big bad of the entire show
1:52:32 exactly. That's what his goal was from the very beginning of the series, to change the timeline for his benefit. All he wanted was to make Barry suffer for unknown reasons. His entire motive was to change the timeline so that the Flash never existed so that he could live in a future where the Flash was never born and he could be the only speedster in the world.

I agree with a lot of what you said. Grodd generally isn't a big villain, which is why I didn't bring him up, and since he only shows up for one more episode in season 6, I don't have anything to say about him unfortunately. I agree with a lot of what you said though. Season 4 does have a few standout moments. Flashtime was a great episode, although it does have a couple issues that I'll mention in part 2. Anyways, part 2 will be seasons 6-8, and part 3 will be season 9.

I was glad that they adapted Grodd's speed, even if it was very short lived. I agree that most speedster costumes for women are mediocre, especially the masks. Jesse, Iris, Trajectory, and Nora all had basically the same mask.

@@GingerAls Okay. CW has 25 episodes to fill. Chloe Sullivan and Lana Lang all had their own save me storylines... multiple times during Smallville. I can't remember if they had any for Lois since she's more independent and she came on later seasons that I fell off of.
okay, I can't judge the quality of those as I haven't watched them. The writers could've filled the 23 episodes with a doomsday plot, or done anything else. they didn't have to make a season where 14/23 episodes are about saving 1 life

I think that flashpoint should’ve taken place over an ENTIRE season with flash and reverse flash traveling back in time to the mother’s death and fighting eachother at the end of the season, and THEN do savitar in season 4.. would’ve been so much better

The Flash could fix half its problem just by making one change in the rule.

This adds an actual reason for them being caught by surprise, non speedsters being an actual threat. This makes it so the speedsters aren't just always one step ahead. At normal speed they go back to their normal human reflex so when taken by surprise they don't have the time to react fast enough.
So like in the comics

IMO non-speedster big bad villains don’t work cause Barry could just relocate them so many times and there are just too many loopholes. I mean I guess you can’t really relocate King Shark or Grodd so they could have been big bads (which would have been interesting)
I completely agree. That was my point with analyzing the main fights in seasons 4 and 5. Just because they have powers, it doesn't mean they stand any chance against Barry

non-speedsters could work if they could manipulate barry, make him choose between saving ppl getting him or just be in a place where Barry couldn't get him
they can work, but I think they work better with shorter storylines. Bloodwork was amazing because Barry caught him in a realistic time frame, and he was just an awesome villain. His big form also makes it so that Barry can't easily relocate him. Cicada's arc would've been better if they actually caught him in episode 8

Also i like to point out team flash wanted him to go back in time to save his mom in season 2 and when he does in season 3 and they find out they get pissed
thats true. Although it is more understandable cause the first time, they all knew he was going to, and they accepted it. When he actually went through with it, he didn't tell anyone, and he ended up changing everyone's lives after backtracking on the decision. I think they did have a right to be upset with him during season 3.
My biggest problem with season 1 is that: He (Barry) stops to talk to all villains and let’s his as* get kicked and let them escap instead of knocking them out instantly. Watch the video from Madvocate to understand what I mean. The Flash is insufferably inocient or something like that

I also wanted to mention the biggest plot hole in The Flash. Why is it in every season, some magical technology is too fast for Barry. That doesn’t even make sense. Devoe’s magical chair, just run faster than he can click the button. Eva’s gauntlet’s move faster than she can react. Barry you run faster than any human can react.

Honestly if I was one of the writers of the flash I would make flash point the entire season and have it follow the comments closely to an extent
I was originally going to get into it more, but having a full rewrite felt like it was too much. For season 3, I think that the best course of action would've been 9 episodes in flashpoint, and then the back half of the season would deal with the repercussions.
@@GingerAls I was thinking that too but since Barry recklessness affected more than his show i think having be for the entire season basically being in the same position as season 1 thawne having to come up with a way to come home while dealing with the villain of the week and having his speed decreased with each episode would be amazing direction the show could have gone in

yeah, that's also a good way to do it. I was thinking more so, if you want to keep the season structured mostly the same, then have flashpoint as 9 episodes, and then the remaining episodes can showcase the flashpoint metas coming back, and then savitar shows up afterwards. But, if you want to go for a whole different route, flashpoint definitely can last the whole season
Went over pretty much every problem I had with seasons 3-5 of the Flash, gotta subscribe now and cant wait for part 2 because it really does get worse.

@@GingerAls yea i agree, tbh i stopped at season 3, i own all three seasons on bluray and iv watched them all atleast twice, tbh even tho each season has its own problems and holes. The first three had the acting, story, tone and other factors that make the few moments of stupidity and the few plot contrivances a non-factor, but the later seasons dont have that and so it cant cover the one or two iffy moments and they keep adding more.
“Where is your brain? Do you even have one?” Works for 90% of CW episodes and there other 10% like sometimes when Barry is smart and a lot of Superman and Lois

I am a big fan of season 1 I feel like this is the best season by far even though season two come to the close second it’s just season 1 has way more steaks to it and consequences, and mystery, something I wish the show kept more consistent throughout the years I feel like season four was a major departure from the dark and shocking tone of the show, bc after season 3 it becomes way more parent that they want to focus more on comedy then the darker aspects, and sure there are dark episodes in season 4 but the mystery and suspense is gone all laid out by very ridiculous humor that in my opinion, I really don’t like I mean season 6 and 7 Got Way better, but it never got to levels of season 1, and the show never really had an interesting villain since the ending of season 3 I feel like the only reason I’m watching the show now is because I like the actor grant Gustin and I just wanna see how it wraps up
I feel like the tonal shift, and the non speedster villains definitely impacted the show's quality. the tone was definitely at its best in seasons 1 and 2. I think 6 recovered it, but then it was quickly lost again

I know the majority of the suit was meant to be sleeker and more comfortable, but the helmet wasn't it. I've also heard that they just had a hard time replacing the thick leather cowl they were using before, which is why the helmet was made initially

For me personally, I loved season 3. Especially Savitar, Savitar’s voice was chilling and felt godly. I loved the suspense of how it felt like every episode iris was closer to death. The season has its flaws, but savitar was my favorite villain. Killing iris making Barry create savitar. Wow
I enjoyed season 3 when it came out, but upon rewatch, it has some issues. it's not the worst season, but it's not as solid as the first 2 imo

Beyond the timeline stuff, Savitar being a clone of Barry makes no sense why he would go evil. Yeah he wouldn't exist if Iris dies, but would be so go far into the dark that he kills his soulmate?
The part about knocking out Zoom is kinda tricky...remember, one of the core weaknesses of a speedster is cold...he gets hit by Killer Frost by accident he just made matters worse. Secondly Zoom didn't look like he was stuck there just slowed down a little. Keyword: a little. Zoom could have easily grabbed Barry instead and knocked him out instead and that would have screwed everyone else because he's their ride out of there. If he's caught they're doomed. So that one I kinda understand. As for the Parr in star labs...yeah I have to agree with you on that one...then again, what was stopping Zoom from breaking out of the pipeline if he broke out of those cuffs? I mean...Godspeed does this too...as for the part at CCPD...yeah I can't defend Barry there, there was nothing stopping him from kicking Zoom's ass this time.

What would happen if the show was actually like the comics. I know that it was like the comics but they changed things. They changed a couple things like post crisis, Barry’s mom was dead and the dad went to jail, Wally was the flash while Barry was dead for a decade though I don’t remember if they brought him back in darkest nights? Cisco and Caitlin would still exist though they probably used them for the show since it would be fun even for the comics, Vibe and Flash would only meet like for meetings and maybe a couple missions and that’s it. They probably would have made the flash like probably a couple years like late 20’s or early 30’s. With Wally, he might be the protagonist with Linda and his friends and stuff.

Random little thing, you mention how Barry never uses the tachyon device again. You’re forgetting that they manage to design a smaller one that fits within his little flash symbol, and he’s has it in all his suits since. I personally think a larger device he has to strap to his chest is cooler, but it isn’t a plot hole
is it said that he has it in every other suit? In season 5 they show Cisco putting it on Barry's suit when trying to send Nora home. They also never had any vfx to signify the use of the tachyon device. The only times it's mentioned/used again is: season 5 to send Nora home, season 6 to enter the speed force, and season 7 to collect particles

But they did make it smaller and that’s why Barry is even able to face Zoom at all afterwards
they would've taken it out of the suit when they took barry's speed in episode 18. and if he still had it, he should've just used it against zoom and savitar... there was never any indication that he was still using it
@@GingerAls if he still had it, then he was always using it. There’s also no indication he stopped using it. They make it fit his logo, and then never discuss that one ever again. So we just have to assume it was never removed from that logo and possibly even later ones. They would have no reason to stop using it.

Here's my headcanon for a few of the plot holes:
1. I think the only way to properly stabilize the wormhole at the end of s1 is to let Thawne go to the future and prevent the wormhole from becoming a black hole. That's why when Barry stopped Thawne the entire ordeal happened. And Thawne also wouldn't want there to be a black hole because without present, future can't exist. So both Barry and Thawne had to time travel.
2. It isn't even headcanon, about the 1st problem of s4 reason Wally couldn't react to peek a boo is because he hasn't activated speed force at that point.
3. About team Flash not believing Flash on Devoe speculation, yes there has been times when Barrys intuition was right, but there also has been times when it was wrong. You can't expect the team to blindly follow him. And when Barry did confirm Devoe was bad, the team came around immediately.
4. You can't run Devoe to the pipe, He alerdy has plan for it and it would break the human rights as Devoe would not get a trial and team Flash has no proof against Devoe.
5. Devoe dosent hate technology, he hates how people uses it.
6. If Barry moves the body around he'll plant more evidence on the body and he'll have to live with the moral guilt of hiding a dead body. Not very heroic. Also also, Devoe probably have a backup plan.
7. Before Barry fights Devoe he always has an epic run beforehand, so the actual fight being not a fight dosent take away too much. Plus this is the season where we see most of Flash and it's the season with best VFX.

The reason Thawne loses it faster is likely because his speed is not the Speed Force itself, but a perversion of it that he created in a specific context (the Speed Force is an elemental part of the universe, but the Negative Speed Force is entirely artificial)
He wasnt losing his speed, he was losing his memories. Along with that, he forgets how to use his speed. There was nothing indicating that Barry was losing his speed, it was indicating that eventually, he wouldnt know about ever having it
Well they have to have the conflict with the big bad go throughout the entire season. When you have a hero with exceptional powers, that means that he either can’t use his full abilities, has to let the big bad go, make stupid decisions on how to deal with threat, be incredibly naive, or be distracted. All of these make the hero incompetent, and when he is supposed to be intelligent and one of the greatest, there is a problem. Splitting the season up by multiple ‘graphic novels’, with no more than 8 episodes each, should in theory fix this issue.
yes, exactly. season 6 worked really well because of this. even if you don't like the mirror monarch story, bloodwork was top tier, and the 8 episode arc was perfect. these graphic novel stories would work so well if they just wrote the show better
@@GingerAls yeah Bloodwork was the best part of season 6a but after that it went to shit with the season focusing on Iris whom nobody cares about and Mirror Monarch a very very boring and uninteresting villain of the season. She's worse than Grace/Cicada 2.
I don't hate mirror monarch as much as everyone else does haha. I don't think she was great, but the storyline had some great moments. I especially love 7x02, although that has almost nothing to do with Eva. Bloodwork was SO GOOD tho

What i dont get and would have been easier, have cisco let jesse, wally, jay and other heroic speedsters know they need an evil speedster to trap in the speedforce to let barry out. Hell maybe accelerated man from earth 19 could he like "gypsy told me you needed an evil speedster, heres a speedster breacher we captured and he needs to he locked up here here is" hell it would have been cool to see him again and his costume after he has like one short cameo in season 3. Like he could he like "im giving you this evil speedster but you have to help capture a breacher or i track you down and kill you"
That could set up a later season 4 episode where maybe they are just about to make a big revelation about devoes plan but have no choice but to drop it for the episode to capture a breacher and give him to gypsy.
I have the answer to 24:22 / the multiverse plot hole. Originally, Zoom was supposed to be Earth-2 Barry Allen, played by Grant Gustin and Teddy Sears would've been the actual real Jay Garrick. It wasn't until mid-way through writing the season that the writers decided to make Teddy Sears as Hunter Zolomon. So originally, everything Teddy Sears Jay told Barry in 2x02 was true, and the Man in the Iron Mask was a later addition, one could assume that Zoom captured him after the Singularity dragged Jay to Earth-1. Whether or not Earth-2 Jay was going to die at all in the original plan for S2 is unknown to the public but the Man in the Iron Mask was ultimately going to be revealed as... Earth-3 Jay Garrick, played by Rick Cosnett, the actor who plays Eddie Thawne. Of course, plans change and we got what we ultimately got in the final product.

Speed mirages do not work like that it is when you run back and forth creating two speed mirages if your self so he could exist in two places at once while still being functional
In season 1, when Thawne shows Cisco his speed mirage, only one of them was moving. The afterimage explanation says that its just an image rather than something that can move. It also would be a lot harder to have a full conversation with the police, and have a full fight with Barry at the same time

37:10 Killing jay was part of his plan, although the breach closing wasnt, harry stabbing him wasnt part of the plan so he had to shove his hand through the closing portal and bring jay along.

While watching the season 3 section, you mention that The Rival could take Savitar's place. I think The Rival is connected to the Negative Speed Force instead of the Speed Force because of his red lightning. So maybe that's why he can't take Savitar's place? I'm not sure if he has a Negative Speed Force connection or if that'd prevent him from taking Savitar's place. Just curious if you think that's a possibility as to why

Yeah, that could be a retcon explanation, but the negative speed force wasn't introduced until season 5, so at the time, it wouldn't work

Patty was great, although I think that with the right material, Iris is a great match for Barry. The first two seasons were great at showing that, but then the writers stopped trying

One thing that doesn’t make sense is the speedforce prison savitar said future Barry created the prison to trap him but iris shot savitar and then he got erased which means he didn’t live long enough to kill iris which means Barry doesn’t make the speedforce prison to trap him in the future so why is it still around if the timeline that it was made in doesn’t exist.
The entire time loop presented in season 3 makes no sense. Savitar has to exist to make Savitar, and lead Barry to make the prison to trap Savitar... who then avoids being trapped and tries to change the timeline. Savitar knows he fails, and he directly talks to Barry about the dangers of time travel, so it's dumb that he tries to change time again. Also, Savitar is created because of Flashpoint, but Savitar says that Flashpoint gave him the idea to put Wally into the speed force, which is very confusing since Flashpoint made Savitar and Kid Flash.

so, the explanation is that Zoom made a time remnant. He isnt fast enough to speed mirage between 2 worlds. The time remnant logic is a bit messy, but essentially, he pulled another version himself out of an alternate past, which is why there were 2 of him doing things at the same time.

I feel like for savitar should’ve have had the future flash storyline from the new 52 which instead of a time remenant of Barry is just an alternate insane version of Barry, and instead of the speed force prison is just a bleed that was caused by flashpoint which savitar believes by sacrificing this version of Barry will heal up the speed force
But killer frost storyline could’ve progressed a bit faster and maybe have killer frost disguise as Caitlin to eventually reveal herself to the team

Was there a reason why marlize told team flash that even if they brought team arrow, the legends, supergirl, devoe would still beat them. That makes no sense since if they brought supergirl, she would beat him with ease since she is super strong but the legends would beat him easily too. Was that because they didn’t want to do the crossover thing or just say it and not show it so we assume it’s true
