Right on, you made gaowus, traditional dried fish from west coast of Canada. Usually made with halibut, ling cod and salmon. I have done it a few times, salt to taste and sun dried in windy areas, salmon would be lightly smoked. We would pound before eating to break down fiber and eat with butter or eulachon oil, yum.

I use a little bit of vinegar in my dry fish marinade it helps keep white mold off it . Fish sauce, soy sauce, hot chili all are great additions believe it or not brown sugar is amazing! Great content i am hooked haha

You can also see a straight line cutting through the reef tracing back to that area. Did someone try setting up a tourist hotel, or did someone have it as a private island and then gave up?
