WELL DONE SIR! This is what fixed my high idle problem. Was registering about 1100 ohms, knocked it down to 8700 ohms and it was perfect! Thx for your expertise.
Many, many thanks. This actually solved my hesitation and idling problem. It runs really rough like 3 pistons not working and dies at idling after letting off the gas. I spent 5 days tearing apart and verifying timing belt, fuel pump, injector ohms, spark plugs, coils, MAF, CAS, ECCS relays. Most forums doesn't mention this being the problem which makes it harder. It is amazing to me this little thing was the cause. Next up is how to get ripping muscles?? :)
Thanks a million this was the cure for my auto na she wasn't responsive at first but taking the time to do this after extensive maintenance work and 16 bucks for a multimeter deff shows now much appreciated here from Delaware !

Thank you for this! CZP the best as always! Fixed my rev on cold startup issue. Mine was reading at 7.5 before adjustment. Even when adjusted all the way up the highest I could get was 8.44 but the issue is gone. Thanks again!

I have a 93 slicktop im building and a few others but that's my jewel.. doing a manual swap on a 90 2+2 super clean so im gonna do it! think I might sell out and het a 1j or 2j.. been having tons of idle problems on my 90 auto? I've swapped everything? I had 7 .. sold a few but I can't get this thing to run "perfect" lol nut im trying thanks for the great vid!
What a great video. My best friend has a Z32. Running great one minute, then not so much the next. Very black soot in exhaust, but he pulled the plugs and said they looked ok. It looks more like oil to me, blue smoke and doesn't really smell rich. But if the plugs don't rat out the condition what the heck? So, we're confused. We went to pull codes and it won't flash. Tried it many times...no joy. If the codes won't show themselves this way, what are our chances of the PLMS cable working. Any ideas at all? Thank you.
Concept Z. Hi. About that conzult data scan cable and software for Z32. I have a different aftermarket ECU from when the car was imported years ago from Japan. From your experience, is the Conzult cable and software compatible with ECU's other than the stock Nissan.?. I'm sure some source informed me that in order to remap or do anything at all with the ECU I have, it would be necessary to revert back to an OEM ECU. I wasn't sure I'd want to go ahead and do that for fear I'd lose some degree of performance from what it had. So that ECU is still there in the car today. I've known Concept Z sell that Conzult software but was sure it would be incompatible for my ZX. What's your views on this.?. I have a high idle issue every so often. The TPS may be causing it and could try your multimeter demo, if it's not available for me to go the data cable route.
Mine is the same way. I know your comment is a year old but do you happen to remember what you did? Lol. Setting it to 8.44 solved my rev on cold startup issue but now it cuts fuel completely when I let off the throttle after a hard pull.
@@KevBacon6i have a 1991 TT mod, and i only reach 8.35. My car is also cutting the fuel and dosent start up again after some hours. Have you come up with a solution?

I checked my TPS with Datascan and it's reading 0.1 volts at idle. No idea how it got to be that low, but before I adjust this back to 0.45 volts I'd like to know... What would be some symptoms the Z would have if the TPS is reading 0.1 volts at idle? The closed TPS is ON at 0.1 volts, and when I press the accelerator pedal I do see it going to OFF, and return to ON when I release the pedal (so I assume someone may have set this to 0.1 volts intentionally). Basically, I don't want to change it if I'm not seeing bad symptoms of having the idle reading at 0.1 volts.
Great video! Thank you! I did this to my 300zx a while ago and the ECU is reading the closed throttle position sensor correctly, but my transmission doesn’t notice it for some reason. So when I let off the gas the transmissions torque converter stays locked for a bit until it gets below 40. I know it’s working right because the ecu shows it on the conzult working correctly, but my transmission doesn’t show it. I don’t know why.
The reason you'll strip the screws if you use a Phillips head screwdriver is because the screws are JIS, not Phillips - there isn't a Philips screw anywhere on the car. Get a set of JIS screwdrivers and you'll eliminate the the problem.
Nick really... tell them to buy the Nissan Data Scan and Cable and use the program to set your TPS. This is be an automatic given when owning this car lol
This is fantastic! High quality z32 instructional videos like this are such a valuable asset to the community. Please do more!
Thank you...

Why did the range you were shooting for change depending on if u did the multi-meter or the data scan?
When I checked my tps sensor it was at 7.75 ohm…the max I could get it to was 8.30ohm…..soooo what does that mean?😅

So I can’t get either of the two TPS’s to sit at anywhere near 8.8kohms. Instead they go to like 4.5 or 3.3 maxed out. Is there a way to fix this?
Mine only ranges 10k-13kohms
@@mikehoran5631 This is what mine is doing any fixes?
